I just got a pm from Neil that the may 25 date is changed to June 1st so it does look like I'm not going to race this year. I dont think im racing in october for a reason i wish not to disclose right now.
Do what ever it is you want, I don't care anymore.

after thinking a little maybe all the other classes do 10 laps.
but the 'Pros' should all be able to handle 20 laps, we are racing for $$$ and should earn it, and really I don't have any attitude therefore nothing needs to be understood except a 'pro' should be able to race 20 laps.
I'm in this for the fun and fun only, with smiles on my face.

Sorry Dave.
Not much I can do about it and it has been a lot of hassle here too.

I hope that you can make the October 19th race.

M1GP has a race on Sunday Oct 20th but here is no conflict there.
I am looking forward to finally meeting them and seeing the mini
motorcycle racing scene.

There won't be anymore changes except to add a race at the end
of the year if there is enough interest.

This was announced a while ago.

Re: Calendar for Racing Events.

The Saturday May 25th race at Grange Motor Circuit has been changed to

Saturday June 1st 2013

Once again there is a scheduling conflict with a 3 day IKA Go Kart Race
which is taking the Friday May 24th, Saturday May 25th and Sunday of that weekend.

Really sorry to everyone that has a hard time changing their schedule.

So the 2013 schedule is:

Saturday April 13th 2013 Only 19 days to go!

Saturday June 1st 2013

Saturday October 19th 2013

All the races are at Grange Motor Circuit.

I'm all for a longer final too - 15 laps? @magrider 20 laps would be a killer on the rider and bike.
hey Brian
Is your 2 stroker Pro bike together and ready to race?

How is the GC 160 coming along?
Trying to round up some 50 cc 4 Stroke competition for you.

I am really looking forward to this race!
What do you think about that CMS app?

Some good times on your bone shaker. :)

I understand, that's basically the point If we are going to have a 'pro' class be a pro about it, suck it up, and have a pro strategy, and pro attitude!

The 4-strokers are ready to go right now. Really liking the Honda GC160, so smooth and runs great. Bolted a mikuni carb on and it ran with slight idle adjustment, amazing!

If you can get some racers in the 50cc class that would be great. I'm doubtful that the 66cc bike will be ready for the first race this season, but it won't stop me from working on it to the last day. No brakes, exhaust pipe not figured out yet, engine not yet mounted and no drivetrain. A lot of work to do.

Photos of the bikes lined up and a couple detail shots - custom springer front end, engine mount for the "pro" bike and the GC160 slipped into the old frame.

I'm not the one who came up with the 'pro' class. and i'm not the one with my nuts stuck at 10 laps, that's what the amateur's do. I do have the nuts to go 20 apparently Nashmoto is the only other racer who can. don't worry about my $$$ just take care of your own.

neil.. no goggles, gloves, elbo/knee pads, long sleeves, socks, hitops.....
Dennis, If you look closely you will see clear safety glasses.

No safety gear is my anti crashing mechanism for when I ride other peoples
bikes so I don't wreck them. Keeps me from pushing the limits.......

Don't worry Dennis, I will do better to set a good example at the
next race and have full leathers, boots, gloves and even those socks.

Speaking of safety gear JN Motors Bikes has a good deal on a full set of
knee and elbow pads. Only $35

JN Motors Bikes is working on a Jaguar built motor, Jaguar CDI & torque pipe
with a Rock Solid reed valve to race in the Pro Class.

This is just my humble .02... 15 laps seems plenty... by the time we've always gotten to about the 10 lap point, everyone's already taken their lead & pretty much holding their place in that race. Then it's just a endurance race to see of their bike holds up... (& it makes for a very long day). :/

My vote would be for 15 laps. :)

Hey Neil... What do you think about making a reed valve the dividing line between the pro & amateur HT classes??

After all, reeds are the one thing that really set apart the bigger HP engines from what's been done to normal street bikes in the past?

I would totally be happy with rules that simply say "any HT without a reed valve is OK in the amateur class; & if it has a reed?, it must run in the pros".

Just a thought... :)

This would also mean that I wouldn't have a bike to run in the amateur class, because every bike I have right now has a reed.

its amazing the excuses people come up with when caught breaking their own rules. instead of admitting they screwed up and it was a stupid thing to do. i guess no helmets or gear in the fun race to keep speeds down for a safer race? all that gear neil and i dont remember seeing your bike. but i know its hard to put on a race and race in it too.
