We just had a school built by my house and they have an 1/2 asphault oval track I'm going to talk to the principle and see if we can have a little history session on the bikes out on the track and run some laps while we're at it, there is so much history that is being lost with this younger generation and there is so much world history behind these bikes and how they changed our lives, starting with the industerial revolution, I want to see if maybe we can preserve a little more.

Well Velo and Biknut got my Triumph throttle assembly and Clutch Lever with perch today, the metal throttle Tube was smaller then 7/8" so I'll look in the Chinee stuff to see if I got a plastic throttle tube and modify it and the Clutch Lever perch was broke durring shipping so they're sending me a new one, no charge and I got to get the Performance pipe cut and modified it

Just a little teaser got the older styled clutch lever the other day and just mounted it to see what it looked like, I'll have to engineer a cable barrel similar to what holds the cable on the other end at the clutch arm as the cable barrel stop in the lever is a 1/4" in diameter, this aught to be interesting

Yha you like those grips do Ya, Believe it or not thats where my head has been Ha! hA! Just haven't had much time to do anything as work has swamped me all of a sudden of type deal ThanK The Lord For That!! but when I get home I'm DOGGED!!! there will be a break real soon! and I've come to relize that there is also a ton of little customizing to take place not just the obvious as you know,I am looking forward to it too, some final stuff will take place at Dan's with welding and such so if we get it running at Dans then it would only be fitting for him to take the Maiden voyge since the bike really is a kinda (50 mile apart distance) shared build between us

I've been think'n about your bike alot and need to do a cruiser again I was thinking about a 1916 Motobike type like a shaw,Chief or mead, it will be a china engine since I have so much stuff left over from other builds, not to fancy but still slick

truckd,
I've been leading a sheltered life, I guess, as I hadn't seen your thread until today. Great build you have going there. These things are so much fun, aren't they? What a hoot! I'd like to see the smile on your face when you finally ride your Indian off into the sunset. Woohoo!

Thanks! SilverBear feels good to catch the eye of someone with your talents & abilities, your tri car bike is something really cool too! and I like the fact you keep that vintage vibe with your builds as well.
My Indian is actually the proto type (#1) for Dan's production model boardie, there is a clip of Dan's televised interview on you tube just type in taylar motored bikes and towards the end of the interview you'll see the bike with only frame, forks and shoes, Dan is also a personal friend and when he came to the house he was AHHHH'D!!!!, I still have a fair bit of work left mostly a lot of the little custom touches,as you know how that goe's
That smile when I fire it up is going to be more of a big ear ta ear grin fallowed by an Indian yelp!!

Thank you for your kind words. It has many times crossed my mind that in another age we would be fooling around with our Indian ponies, training and taking care of them, taking pride in how well they respond to us, how fast and far they could run and how good they looked. And showing ownership with war paint, a hand print, feathers and bead work. Now our "war ponies" are made of metal and run on gasoline or electricity, but the sense of pride and ownership is much the same I would imagine. Some years ago I raised a herd of Lac LaCroix Indian Ponies which were my passion. I'm too old and lame for that now, so my "ponies" have wheels. But when I'm out riding through the forest with the wind in my hair the feeling is not so very different from having a living, breathing animal under me running like the wind. Woohoo!

They are living and breathing animals, they require training, maint, they eat, they breath and on ocasion they buck, but when they are right they do everything to please us,they give the ride of our lives, they give us the honor and glory when we sit upon
them, running by others who give looks of Ahh! and sounds of praise, a pony worthy of the run!
My father is a Native American Creek indian, also a rider and an owner of many such fine strong ponies,in his herd is also a 2003 Indian RoadMaster Deluxe and he has passed down to me this passion for these two wheeled animals and tought me of the power of the wind that blows through my hair and pats me on the back as I ride my pony.
I feel your soul my distant Brother, RIDE ON! RIDE ON!

I'm one of those guys that can't leave it alone. One change always leads to another, and then another. So when you look at my bike, that's just how it looks today lol.

This bike was my first, and best MB so far. It's 2 yrs old. Originally it had a Flying Horse 48cc, but a couple months ago I swapped the 48 for a new Flying Horse 80. Both motors are the 2 best I've had.

I bought 4 motors from BGF, and all of them were crap. They all had very poor quality crankshafts.

From now on Flying Horse will always be my first choice. I even like the name Flying Horse.

I posted 2 pics of my bike on page 2 of this thread. One of them is how it looked originally. The other one is after I added bent forks. I loved the bent forks, but all of a sudden half the bike looked wrong, so then I had to make numerous other changes. Once I got the look right I started liking it better than any of my other bikes.

After trying the bigger 80 motors I found I liked them a lot more, if it wasn't for the fact they all broke so fast. Still it was nagging me to change the motor, and since I had such good service from the Flying Horse 48, this time I bought a Flying Horse 80. Now I'm glad I did because it runs so good now. I ride the **** out of it too. Usually 40 miles at a time, unless I'm just cruising the hood.

This is the Atomic BB as it is today. I probably won't do much more to it. Yeah right lol.

I like it! dig the red head too! you keep it clean judging by the picture
I do like to keep my bike clean. I'm pretty sure you do too. Nobody is going to go to all the trouble you do with the details, and then let it stay dirty for long.

The paint I used on the head is VHT high temp header paint. I didn't realize until after I painted the head that the instructions said it takes 7 days to cure lol.
