OH! I don't know why this didn't occur to me before. The power lines from the house (2 or 300 feet away. I ran out of yard to get away from the people I hold dear and at a great distance) have to be buried. What I am thinking is use flex drain pipe as the conduit and as the air conditioner. Suck air threw it via the solar fan (I smoke and don't have the lungs for it) to heat/cool the shop. Is already there and more then long enough to adequately transfer, exchange the ambient air temperature.

Another double duty thing about it, Momma wants a water line ran to the back yard for her garden. (Water and power lines, what could go wrong?) So renting a ditchwich is in order. Hmm, gonna go with a seperate line, thinking about it now.

As Confucius said 5,000 yrs ago, "Woman shall have her garden and Man shall have his work shop. All will be right with the world" Or some thing like that.... lol

Har, lol. Now am thinking about 2Door's (hey Tom) post about the drive in movie's AC threw the speakers. Bugs coming up threw the line.

"Are you crying?"

"Nope, caught a bug in the eye" Or "Thwack" Like riding a MB with out the crunchy, high protein part.

A Wagner power painter will shoot both solid and semi transparent stains, I used one on my house and shop till I put vinyl siding on both. I covered every exposed piece of wood possible, now the only painting I have to do is the molding around the doors.

Been meaning to say this. My company name is "Shelly Transportation" named after my Dawg.

She's a country girl.

I had biz cards made and forgot to include my name so now folks call up and ask, "Shelly?" lol.

A sprayer would be awesome. Gonna shop around. I really did run out of $. Would be fine if folks just paid their dam bills! No kidding, I don't have enough wood to make the doors and customers who have been paid for the work I have done are telling me "stuff" like "I sent the check" and "Can you resubmit..." I know times are tuff but my bills come by mail too! LOL, I wanna kick some of these guys until I need new shoes. /end rant.

Panty hose stretched over both ends of the flex drain pipe should keep the bugs out. Just don't use the flex pipe with all the little slits punched through it...
Thats a cool thunk GN. Was wondering what to use as a filter.

Kinda funny, I was thinking to use the perforated hose/pipe. Thinking is, it will transfer/exchange temperature better.

Bottom of the trench would be 18 inches.

Side note, the word "Thwack" has to be one of the all time funniest words in the English language and one of the few that sounds, is spelled and happens just like it is, as a word. I propose we start a campaign to start an international "Thwack Day" where participants cause the sound to be made by... wait, I gotta think about this. Could cause problems, snork

Ummm Dan, I think that Thwacking meant something different in your generation than it did in mine.
My generation has 2 different definitions of it.
1. Similar to hitting someone in the head with only your fingertips by using a quick twisting/ whip motion of the wrist.
2. Something you would do alone in your bedroom with a favorite magazine.
(I hope that #2 is PC enough to pass examination by the PC police here, if not delete it please.)

if you are digging a trench, the flexible drain pipe is almost a great idea.the water line can just lay in beside it.
ever push wire/cable through a hose?
100 feet is a challenge.
if you are using the flex pipe, grab some fishing line and enough 1/4" rope to go through the pipe.tie the fishing line to a plastic shopping bag,and stuff a shop vac in the far end of the pipe.the air will suck the fishing line through to the vacum.it will need to have a good seal to pull that far.you might have to experiment with the shopping bag,the drain pipe may create a lot of drag.fishing line to pull rope.
i have used cheap pvc pipe for this on a few occasions, and it works slick.
drag rope through, now you have something to pull the electrical (its gonna be heavy)
cable through.
tie the fishing line to the cable ,so you have another pull line because you forgot the phone/internet line.then pull the 1/4"rope through again and leave it there for whatever.

myself i would use the pvc water pipe, just for your services and two more for your heating /cooling.a loop about 1/2 the length of the trench.

every time i buried electrical,i fall almost short-i figure i never add extra for the part that goes down in the trench. 5 foot deep trench add 10 more feet cable.

using the weeping type drain hose may not be such a good idea, water shouldnt be present in an electrical conduit.imagine if one of the hot leads starts "leaking".
that, and the odour you may get from the ground.

just my .25 worth.

LOL GN. My thinking was the sound when 2 long boards are stacked or a 3 Stooges slap sound.

#2 has now ruined my favorite word! (and alone time)

Cool and thanks for sayin' I had not considered "trench Stench" Have to measure but have to go around (I think, dunno how well a ditchwich goes threw roots) the 5 or 6 Christmas trees gone wild. Meaning it is gonna be a very long run.

Was just thinking go shallow threw the "forest" but ... I dunno. The ditchwich @ HomeUtoh looks very stout. Might try for a straight run. Be way cheaper.

As always, I greatly enjoy and appreciate your input and thoughts, every one.

Just reread that, brilliant TJ. Thanks and I most assuredly would have.

Odor, bugs, stagnant water, moldy rotten stuff is what I was thinking of when I recommended staying away from the perforated flex drain pipe.
Really is a good point(s) GN

Been hoping to find an old, large building being demolished and try to grab some cast iron drain pipe. Would work awesome. Unless it was sewer and not rain drain, lol.

Dan that looks like an updated version of what I have, mine came with 6 spray tip with orifice sizes for paints and stains. Also a viscosity funnel, you had to time how long it took the stain to drain out of the funnel then look at a chart to choose the right tip.

Think it is worth it Greg? I will never hold any one to their advise just asking your opinion.

No kidding, brushing stain on ruff sewn is way laborious and less fun then watching it dry.

Does home depot have reviews on the sprayer on their site? If it is half as good as the one I bought in 1984 it will be a good one, I have probably sprayed 35 to 40 gallons through mine.

Dan when I built our house I used rough sawed pine lap board, it was impossible to brush or roll. I think I sprayed the house three times untill 2001 when I installed the vinyl.
