So i came across this exhaust system in my Frantic searching after my Modified pocket bike exhaust ''Expansion chamber'' cracked at the header,

Due to my bending it too fit by force no map gas lol

So i went on a search for expansion chambers and since last time
i bent the header too fit, it weakened the pipe enough too crack from pro-longed vibration-,

and ran into this puppy, it is 46.00$ USD with shipping included it is 16'' in length
and 1/2 inches longer than the good old stock black cat exhaust, it consist of 5 1/2 inchs of header tube, an expansion chamber followed by a small muffler,

the muffler has no CAT or Baffle, but can be added from your ole stock pipe assuming you have it around some where,

i am hoping too get some decent performance from this pipe,

For those of you who would not buy it due too it being in the same spot as the stock ''you like the exhaust routed too the rear of bike'',

Buy 6ft - 10ft of Heater hose with an inner diameter of 1/2 inch for around 3-8 bucks USD, i did, since its not coming off the header the heat the hose will see will not be above 200 degrees F,

The heater hose is able too consistently withstand temp's of 275-400 depending on the hose you buy, since the house comes black with white lettering indicating size brand temps ect, buy some bbq paint, or engine enamel for around 5-8 bucks at any wal mart or auto parts store and paint the hose :)

anyway i want too know what you guys think of this exhaust, i have just ordered it and will update with results as soon as i install it :).

$46 shipped sounds pretty good. It looks like Bikeberry carries the chrome version for $50, but that is without shipping: Speed-Demon Muffler with Expansion Chamber

Darkhawk22 asked about them back in March, but no responses. I am definitely interested in these as well, since I should be in the market for an exhaust soon.

I really like the look of the Banana pipe, but read that all of the power is on the high end. I would really like a bump to low/mid grunt as well.

Theoretically, a longer header (20") into the chamber will provide lower rpm boost.
Also, a larger volume chamber, for low end improvement.

I ordered a chrome one from a seller on eBay. It hasn't arrived yet but it's only been a couple of days and he is in Canada I think. I'll report back once I know more. I have a banana pipe right now and it's loud and has a good response with a nice smooth note just as the bike comes under a load like going up a hill but other than that I seem to be getting a lot of 4-stroking from the banana pipe. I'm hoping the new one will be a little more quiet and have a better range with less 4-stroking. We shall see.

based on where the header flange is on that pipe, it looks to me like the pipe will hit the ground.
The bend in the header pipe isn't curved enough to put the pipe up away from the ground.

The bend in the header pipe isn't curved enough to put the pipe up away from the ground.
That was my first thought as well, and the same issue i face now, as i said previously i was running a moded pocketbike exhaust that cracked at the header, so i took a hack saw and sawed off the chamber of the pb exhaust at the curve in the header,

and took a stock exhaust and did the same, cut off the manifold took some advise from another thread here and used the hack saw too cut a line down the curved header on the cut chamber section,

i used the cuts in the header and hose clamp too tighten the stock exhaust header too the chambers header and it gave me the ''banana'' shape

i did this so i could still ride decent until my new pipe gets here, Currently The end of my exhaust is 4 inchs from the ground i can ride fine, i have gone over larger 1/2 ft tall 3 1/2 foot wide Florida style speed bumps they call em ''speed Humps'' cause they are wider than average anyway

the only time my pipe has touch ground is when i wheel it out my front door case there is a 7 inch drop from the porch, and when i drop off a curb *With Out Lifting* the front end of the bike via a nice pull too the handle bars witch is not hard to do,

the pipe i have on now is like 20 inchs long and is 4 inchs above the ground, i also have front end suspension witch takes her lower on bumps, so far 26 miles with the exhaust no issues with clearance other than mentioned,

How ever, the hose clamp is not working out so well and the exhaust can be swiveled around and moved As you would pulling out a seat post from the frame ''Swiveling'' it too make it easier to remove, So

i am trying a 1 1/2 Standard exhaust clamp for cars i bought it for 3 bucks at the local auto parts store, it is ''Harder'' too swivel now, Yet it still does, i would just tighten the clamp more, but i risk bending&crunching the headers witch is no good,

and if the headers are so easily moved then i assume the chamber is not functioning properly due too an air leak at the headers, the point of an expansion chamber other than a nice sound, is too reuse unburnt gasses and fumes, witch push's unused compression and gas back into the cylinder to be burnt,

Allowing more compression for more Horse Power and gas economy by using the unburnt fuel, since i have a leak at the header it seems in my mind to defeat the purpose in witch case i should have just used the stock exhaust and / or maybe gutted it out CAT/Baffle ect.

Little large for a response too such a post but i am easily distracted what can i say?,

Yes i feel that could very well pose an issue and when it gets here i will update you on that, Anyway IMHO, ''ALMOST'' all of these builds end up different too an extent 80% like a finger print,

Different builds are almost Sure too have there engines mounted higher or lower further up or further back, There by changing the bends and / or welds needed too adapt a whole assortment of different Parts and upgrades

given the person is facing a clearance issue posed buy this Exhaust and assume there able, one could simply losen there motor mounts and raise the engine a bit and clamper back down,

that obviously won't be so easy or even possible for alot of builds, but in my case i am cursing on a 26'' Schwin Clairmont with 27'' Front End suspension witch lifts my front end well above the stock height for this cruiser, my engine sits slightly less than a centimeter above the Bikes Chain guard so i can lift it a TON i am assuming there won't be issues but we'll see :D,

Also a fast update kinda sorta, im looking into Buying the 90 Degree air filter from Sick Bike Parts, than Buying the Red Roam Style UNI Air filter from Pirate Cycles and adapting the red filter too the 90 Degree intake tube :D

Should go nice with my new Chamber pipe, ALSO i have a sinking feeling that begain soon as i clicked confirm payment, that i will end up cutting off the whole muffler area from the pipe and running just the chamber

Awesome!, thanks for the post, is there any info on the build ?, maybe something saying weather he had too Bend it too fit via MAP Gas torch's ?

That's what i am stressing now lol, my frame is a beach cruiser so the out come would be different.

Sadly, no there is no explanation on the fitting of the exhaust, i found the thread and the only thing useful for ''me'' anyway is the second picture from another angle.

oh ok, now i see. I thought it was longer, and i assumed that the bike sat lower to the ground. I keep forgetting that the majority of people use 26" mountain bikes and cruisers, so they have quite a bit of ground clearance.
Unlike me, my bikes are 20" ers, which puts them pretty low to the ground.
BUT, the correct way to modify an exhaust is to cut it apart, make pie-cuts to bend it, and then weld it all back together.
I made this pipe for my o.c.c. chopper using parts of the stock pipe, and parts of a long pipe that I bought for $30.00.

I also modified this pipe for my dragray bike. It's a spooky tooth expansion chamber, but i cut the flange off, and re-welded it at a different angle to bring the pipe up closer to the bottom of the frame.
Then i modified the baffle from a stock muffler (by drilling holes in the baffle plate for better flow). I cut the tiny outlet off of the expansion chamber, and welded the muffler right to it at an angle for clearance. I welded a chrome exhaust turnout to the end of the muffler, and wrapped the whole thing with header heat wrap.
Looks were the goal here because I built the bike to look like a drag bike, so a drag bike looking exhaust was in order. yes, it performs 100 times better than the stock exhaust, and it sounds awesome, but my main goal was to capture the look of an exhaust that might be on a drag bike.

So, Today at 10:18am i placed a call too Lynn over at Custom motorized bike parts, where i ordered the pipe, it was around 24-30 hours after my payment went through, i just wanted too see about shipping, the basics what company how too track when the number will be made ready for tracking,

She was overly helpful and told me that she Just hooked one up and tried it out for her self yesterday and they are Awesome she says!, said she put it on her 26'' cruiser frame witch is exactly what i am running with,

She let me in how how she adapts pipes too fit Her Builds, witch is no secrect, just really helpful advise, she says she takes the pipe and a sharpy and marks it with an arrow the way she wants to bend it, takes too flat peices of wood too each side of the header,

Places it in a vice and heats it with MAP Gas then bends it, the Wood is too protect the surface of the header from scratchs and dings and what not cause the softer wood conforms too the heander rather then pushing in to it like the edge of the vice would,

Any way she let me know that she has me down on a list already and i will be seeing a tracking number TODAY Via my pay pal account! So i am stoked,

Assuming this pipe fits with no issues, and im sure it will, i would likely recomend it too anyone in the market for a chamber pipe, its the same shape and nearly the same size as the stock pipe, it has a chamber AND a muffler witch you do not see often,

Granted the spb pipe does have a muffler its like the pocket bike exhaust, not only does it not have a CAT in it, it also has No baffle in it or a way too add either with out sereious modding,

This pipe has a chamber is small and slick and comes with a muffler capable of making use of a CAT and / or Baffle !, and at 46$ shipping included, i challenge you too find and reply with a Better exhaust set up for 50 and under,

Let alone one that can use a CAT/Baffle!

I Am Mojo and i approve this message!

I too will be looking forward to an evaluation of this pipe if you could do that for us.
The expansion chamber looks to be the same size and shape as the ones available for the Spree engine I have only at a much, much lower price.

as when i picked up the tiny little box (remembers its the size of a stock pipe) it weighted less than the 53 Mega LED head light i bought the other day!, i was SCARED as i opened it, thinking too my self, damn damn damn, this can't be my exhaust,

its too light!,
sure enough it opened with beautiful Wrapping paper that seems to be like some vintage looking wall papering looks tasteful lol, a Card with her contact info and shop name,

a form too fill and send via mail too them for ordered parts rather than via the Net, she gives a 6% discount for this i guess (not on kits says on papers), a pirted out paper telling you what ou need and how too make a good head light for the white wire off mag,

(** Hand Wrote ''Helpfull website Forums : MotoredBikes.com MotorBicycling.com''**)

so shes a supporter of this site :D, BEST buying exp i have has online thus far!, welds are GREAT!, air flow is sick ''i blew through it with my lips lol'' going for a test run il check back in some where around 30 min too an hour! :D
