Looks like 30% chance of rain showers on race day and it'll be around 65 degrees. Still 7 days away and anything can happen with the rain.
I'm going to bring my bike and probably race in the heat races but go through the turns real slow. I'll try my best to stay out of other racers. I don't want to fall and that might make my back worse. If it hurts to much ill pull of the track. Most likely I won't race the final or main event.

Saturday Night
Partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Fog overnight. Low of 37F. Winds from the WSW at 5-15 mph. Chance of rain 30% with rainfall amounts near 0.3 in. possible.
Being from the South West I really dont know what 0.2-0.3 inches of rain is, but it sure dont sound like much?

buba, thanks for coming down. i got your message, sorry i didn't call you. been pretty busy. if you need any more info, let me know.

dave, .2 inches of rain in california is enough for people to freak out while driving, crash into each other, and go from 80mph to 40. it's pretty funny.

for us though, .2 inches should be just enough to keep it interesting...:)

Aleman,

Quit wishing and come on down. If you can get youself to Bako, there's a ride fer' ya'. If you can make it, I can crunch and get another motor laced in to have a 2nd bike. You never know, you could become an e-convert (LOL) Lot's of folks will share short rides around the track as well.

Thanks Neil, that's for the Apr. 7th race tho. There's no way I'll be able to make it to Baird's. Lots of stuff locally going on.

Thanks for the offer, Will. Ya know, I almost went e-bike for my first motorized bicycle, but the battery weight and cost steered me away.

someone keeps flagging my race announcements on craigslist. they've been removed twice, even though they fully comply with their terms of usage.

not cool.
Sucks don't it, been there know exactly what you are going through. Someone just recently hacked into my Motorized Bicycle Racing FBook and made all the post of your race private. I've contacted FBook support and they have yet to let me know whats going on.

And with Craigslist I would just have to keep re-posting Death Race over and over again. Don't matter where you post it, it gets flagged and removed.

Send me the info you want it to say Bairdco and we will both post on Craigslist over and over. It's the only way just keep doing it until they run out of steam.

I'm getting my bikes ready for the season opener.

The China is ready, but I need to put more miles on the Italian. I'm running out of daylight each day. The Italian will make an appearance but it might not compete.

2 more days and I hope it doesn't rain!

i'm pretty much convinced it's gonna rain. may slow us down, but it won't stop us.

i'm adding fenders to my bike tmrw. i've ridden in the rain without them before. dirty street water isn't too tasty, and no one likes the "brown stripe."

my drunken step dad used to say, "the rain can't hurt you unless you're made outta s#$% or sugar..."

Don't think I will have the time to find and mount some fenders, but I will be there to have some fun! The rain is going to screw the gearing I choose but oh well, too late to make changes.

See you guys at the track! .wee.
