I will, once I add a half link (offset link) to the chain on the pedal sprocket side. The 2 chains are a half link outta sync with each other, if you know what I mean.
And yeah Pat's idler setup is much nicer, but doesnt give a very big range of adjustment. It'll be fine once I get the chain lengths sorted so I'll go back to it then.
I found out tonight after lots of googling & thread searching (there I go again Harry haha) that #41 is actually wider overall than #415, so Im gonna stick with 415. That, & noone here locally has #41 :)

Brett,
Sounds like a half link is necessary. So much I take for granted in the states. I have a bearing supply right around the corner and they keep #41 Diamond in stock for me. Why not just set up the motor side correctly and run the pedal side a half link too long for now. It's really no big deal. Other option is to find a front or rear pedal sprocket one tooth size bigger or go from an even number to an odd number of teeth in any size that will fit. Whatever you do don't cut the idler tab off. It is carefully located front to back and aligned properly. Looks simple enough but it is very critical to be located perfectly, which it is now.

Yep you are right. When you've been messing with it for hours you start to have strange ideas! (which I then type out haha! but it's probably just a healthy part of the learning process; that's what I will tell myself anyway...)
I found a guy in NZ who supplies the engine kits who has a half link; he's not in our city so Ive ordered & should have sometime next week. Once I put a half link on the pedal side it should all be about right.
Norm @ Venice Motor Bikes also offers a shim kit for this issue. Im not sure where the shims fit so Ive asked him about it.
CF that is a very thorough way to deal with your pedal chain; great idea.

Interestingly, noone here at the bicycle shops has heard of a worksman, & they didnt believe that any bike had a 3/16" chain & wide sprocket like that. They looked at me like I was from another planet. But they have a good quick chain breaker so that's helpful :)

Brett. Where did you find those cool hand grips?
I have a business selling bobber parts here in NZ. Those are one of our product lines. We also sell the Harley '1909' grips (also known as 'coke bottle' grips).
The 1909's are for 1 inch motorcycle bars, so are too big, so you just buy motorcycle grips designed for 7/8" motorcycle bars. They are 25mm on the RH side to fit over your throttle sleeve & 22m on the left to fit over your 7/8" bar. Those particular grips are a NOS 70's part, Gran Turismo, made in Italy, you'll find them on ebay with a search. They come in 130mm long & 120mm long, & one set that's available has 22mm & 24mm opening, the other has 22mm & 25mm openings; the 25mm is much easier to slide over your throttle tube.
I'll look for the link & pm it to you.
They also come in other colours, brown, black, blue. These were the closest I could find to the 1909 grips in 7/8 so thats why Im using them; also to go with the white pedals & tyres.

I used the 120mm, will send the link for them. The 24mm ID slid over the throttle tube easily with some CRC (WD40 will work too). The 120mm is a closer length to the throttle tube. You could still use 130 though, wouldnt matter too much.

I just wanna say: Sportsman Flyer parts' design & finish is second to none. I am extremely pleased with Pat's stuff & highly recommend his stuff unashamedly. I also think that his parts are very well priced considering the amount of design & labour time that has gone into them; plus the passion for making something that looks & fits great. By the way, he didnt tell me to say this or even suggest it.
Im a newbie to this so I struggle away as I learn; I just wanted to make it clear that these Sportsman Flyer bits are freakin great!
I want to do another one at some stage, (next time with a drop loop & maybe even a different motor?) & I will definitely be buying from Pat again!
Norm @ Venice Motor Bikes has also been great & I will definitely be buying more from him in the future too.
Sorry for the unashamed promotion, but I think these guys deserve it; they're an asset to this forum. (Plus they put up with all the struggles of newbies like me).
Thankyou also to the other forum members here who give advice; you are a great help.
