Just a few things to consider:
1. The future of motorized bicycle racing is with the 4 strokes, we saw AGK with his monster at Willow.
2. It doesn’t matter how much HP a bike has, how fast it can top out at, or how cool it looks……All that matters is who crosses over the finish line first!… at Willow it was a P.O.S. China engine with 1.5 HP
3. The slower guys should hold their line and not try to get out of the way. The faster guys will go around them. I almost ran into someone when they ‘moved over’
4. Just have fun, stir the pot, get excited, build the fastest bike you can, and you’ll see me smiling Oct. 22nd. in the pits with my Pops, brother and friends because ……I’m the one with the target on my back…….

well, maybe looks do matter.

Sorry but I'm on the track racing and I will hold my line and I will not move over for the faster rider to lap me. Getting lapped is embarrassing enough. I even made my brother magrider earn the pass on me. I use to raced dirt bikes and never waved someone by. I don't think its dirty racing, just making the faster guy earn the pass and I'm holding my line.

That's right, a slower rider should NEVER adjust line on entry, exit, or mid-turn. Otherwise it's extremely dangerous for both folks when the faster rider was taking a line to make the pass inside or outside, and you change your path moving into his passing line.

At the superbike tracks days I race, they will actually black-flag a new for changing his line mid-turn because it's so dangerous.

If you're slow and you know it, be kind on the straights and stay off ideal line until you need to enter again, otherwise just race your race and never think about the faster bikes behind you or zipping past you on the sides in turns etc.

It is always the responsibility of the passer to make sure his pass will be clean of contact, and it is always the responsibility of the person being passed to just hold their line and NOT do anything erratic.

We will be donating some 4-stroke stuff to be given away at this next race. We are also bringing a radar gun and hope to record some top mph at the end of the straight. We'll have a HF laser thermometer in our pits for anyone interested in checking engine temps or tire temps. We are looking forward to seeing all of you at the track.

I would like to join in the fun. I'll be running a 5hp Briggs engine and I'll take number 72. Thanks for putting on this event. I am more excited than a 47 year old deserves to be, giddy even.

You will have to ask Dave31 if there is a Tucson race this year.

The track at Willow Springs was kind of beaten up but was a great
race along with getting to ride on the Big Willow Grand Prix track.

However we are not racing at Willow on Oct 22nd and have upgraded
to a track that is even more challenging than the p1 track.

Also motorized bicycles have never raced at Grange race track before
so that is another first for the new SoCal Motorsport.

Too bad that you didn't get to really ride your new water cooled Morini
at the last SoCal race.

PS: The next SoCal Motor Bicycle race will be in April or May 2012

Check out the new track below with a pic of the Tucson track at the bottom
for comparison.

Track Specifications: 3400' elevation.

14 turns
8/10 mile
950' straight away
Elevation Changes
25' to 30' wide asphalt

We are running the track counter clockwise.

Well chaw, a blurr to spectators, not racers on the track. Ya never know tho, we could end up dicing it out in the Ultimate Race if we should be so lucky....

Hi Gilbert

Good talking to you the other day and looking forward to meeting you
at Grange and seeing your very cool Briggs bike run around the track.
Looks like there will be at least 4 Briggs bikes there this time, maybe 5.

You got lucky # 72

Don't worry about not being much of a "racer" as it's a fun event with lots
of room on the track to cruise around at your own comfort and fun level.

You mentioned renting a U Haul to get your bike to the track?
Keep in touch as I may be interested in sharing it with you if you
are going to the track on Friday.

thanks.

Hey Neil,
when you get a minute, can you post all the riders & their numbers before the event?
makes a nice referance to look guys up at the track.
Thanks

Going to open up registration and payment any day so will
have the current list of rider numbers online.

These are the only available race numbers for gas bikes.

eBikes are using #100 to #140

If you aren't coming to any more SoCal Motor Bicycle Racing events and want
to give your number up that you used at the Willow Springs Race let me know.
Thanks
