I see a lot of posts with acronyms and I don't know what they mean.
What does WOT and HT stand for? I am sure there are other acronyms so if you can think of any, please post them so I know what they mean.
By the way, I went to two colleges: South Hampton Institute of Technology and
Franklin University of Central Kansas. Can you guess what the acronym is for those two outstanding colleges?

WOT- Wide Open Throttle

MB- Motorized Bicycle

MAB- Motor Assisted Bicycle

China Girl - Chinese two-stroke motor

36T, 44T,41T- 36 tooth sprocket, 44 tooth sprocket and so on......

415 or #41- Chain size

CC = Cubic Centimeters, refers to the displacement of the engine

CVT = Continuously variable transmission. As engine speed increases the gear ratio does too. Similar to an automatic transmission.

24:1, 32:1, 100:1 = nominal oil to fuel mix ratios. The larger number refers to the fuel.

O.T.B. = off the back :when you can't stay with the peloton in road bike racing.

was thinking of making a t-shirt that has "Teem O.T.B."

Mike the bike guy

Cager = Automobile driver (because they are surrounded by steel like a cage)

Spandex crowd = snooty bike riders who don't like motorized bikes

Scrubber = On a friction-drive MB, the roller that drives the wheel by rubbing on the tire

WFO = Wide Ficking OPEN (faster than WOT) usually used in describing the throttle position before a nasty crash or engine explosion. Alternatives: Wicked Full On, Wicked Flat Out or Wide Flat Out.

IMHO In my humble opinion. a nice way to say it

IMO In my opinion. in text can be read into as more rude.

BTW by the way

WTF = Was That Flying metal part from my bike?

GDMF = Good Driving, My Friend! (means "Thanks for cutting me off".)

SOB = Stay Off Bike! (No, you may not "just sit on it"!)

I've seen several people here use WTF in ways that I don't understand... I've always known it to mean 'What The F**k?'

I don't know what they think it means?? (?)

Gee, I guess SOB doesn't really mean "Stay Off Bike" then. :)

But hey, where's the fun in giving away the punch line. Reminds me of an old limerick:

There once was a lovely young miss

Who went down to the river to...read.

When a man in a punt

Stuck an oar in her...eye

And now she has to wear glasses.
