Unknown Accessory

While looking through a box of chain guards and tanks today, I found these 2 boxes with a DBS logo on their side. They contain a drawer that slides out. They're 2'' square and about 16'' long with mounting clamps on top, May not even be bicycle stuff. Each have a latch on the bottom that holds them closed or open.
















Anyone recognize them?

I can't say that I have seen them before, but they look like they would make a great under (rear mounted) rack storage box.

Good idea. I can't think of anywhere else to hang them.

That is exactly what I thought when I seen them, under a rear rack, put some foam in them and store tools or even a thin tire pump, never seen those before but no doubt they can be useful on a bike.

Line them with saran-wrap and use them as a gas tank......they have that vintage look to them....
