My nephew is an R.C.M.P. officer who was fortunate enough to be off for the week but he was saying that they were run off their feet in his detachment like all the others. On average they may have perhaps 2 sudden deaths a week and often none but for that week they were averaging 3-4 a night and there were not enough ambulances to retrieve the bodies due to the calls they were getting. Some officers had to wait hours until the ambulance could get there.

There is a town of about 250 people 6 hours inland that was seeing temperatures of 121F+ for days then the forest burst into flames and some people had no time to leave. They don't know how many were lost trying to get away but it all started in 20 minutes. If you see the town of Lytton mentioned that will be it.
Heat has moved over to Alberta and they are now suffering as well as the rest of the prairie provinces.

Found front wheels I believe. I say that because the ad for them was rather cryptic. Advertised as rims with no photo but talked about not being sold with disc brake rotor. Took a chance that it was the whole thing. Sold in Canada so they should get here soon and I'll see what I bought.

Another company that doesn't answer emails. There's been a lot of them.

Slowly getting the frame welds filled out with body fill.

Weather is back to normal. Lots of sun and today it started out at 62F and overcast. Over 200 forest fires in the province.

The front wheels arrived today. They are great for the money. Bit of a winding path to get them which I'm finding out isn't unusual these days. The company has a foot in the U.S. and Canada. Here in Canada they have a warehouse and office in Ontario, North of N.Y. state and an office and warehouse here in Vancouver, British Columbia. Head office is in the U.S.

Order the wheels here in Canada and pay for them. Two weeks later sale is cancelled and payment returned. Never hear anything from the company other than they are sold out. Waited for a few days and ordered from the U.S. office and the order was received and payment accepted and the next day the same wheels I ordered before were shipped.......from Canada. The same place that said they were sold out.

I'll get the brake discs from a local bike company as well as the street tires. They wanted $199 each for the same rims.

While I was looking for wheels on Alibaba I saw the hubs advertised. They are the same ones used on the wheel I bought and they had different measurement including the bearing outer diameter and I was able to find bearings with the same size with a 3/4" bore here in Canada. I'll knock one of them out and double check and then order them.

Found hydraulic brake calipers to add to the stopping power. Plan to get out the next few days and try and round up paint. As Pete suggested a deep yellow is the choice and I know how the counter chap at Sherwin Williams loves it when someone comes in and asks to see the paint book. He doesn't try to hide his happiness either.

Like a guy sucking on a sliced lemon. I just take longer to make a decision.

Temperatures in the low 80's during the day and upper 50's low 60's at night and sunny.

Great colour choice Steve.
Always wanted to go with something like RAL's 1027 'Curry' shade on a build. Perfectly vintage, I reckon.
