Today I received a 26" rear wheel with 12 gauge spokes as an improvement over my stock 14 gauge spoke wheel. To my dismay the flange is too big for the stock sprocket and rubber mount nine-hole setup. It also appears as though the bolts would just barely fit between the spokes even if the flange were smaller.

Could anyone here point me to a sprocket adapter which would fit my wheel. No, I don't have a coaster brake hub. The actual hub is cylindrical with an approximate 5/8" diameter.

The rag joint set up should work fine on that wheel, I've got a wheel with the very large spokes and the rag joint works fine on it, it is a bit tighter between the spoke but it mounted good on it.

There is no way you would ever get a clam shell sprocket hub to work on a wheel with a 5/8" dia hub, there isnt enough surface for it to clamp too in order for it to be secure and not slip/rotate on the hub.

Best wishes

Peace

Any sprocket adapters to fit a 5/8" cylinder- shaped hub? Anyone?
