my friend has a surly, not sure which model but it looks similar and has the huge 4" tires, thought a motor on it would be awesome.

That is a really nice looking bike, I like that micro gearing too, looks like 24t to 22t rear? Pretty tight squeeze stuffing an engine in there.....an inframe 4-stroke would be outta the question. Can't wait to see this one built!

It really has a Hanebrink look too it.......sweet!

I saw one of these at a lbs yesterday. As soon as I saw it I thought "it needs an engine." I searched the forum and here it is, lol. The price tag was $600.

Steel frame, Dave? If so and I was going to build it, I'd reshape that top tube just enough to slip a Morini in there.
