Re: our MB friend 'Turbo/Chaos' just broke his collarbone

hey guys im doing good just on pain meds yeah its a basic headstock from a acadmy store and i belive that yes upgrade it if you go to ape hangers it puts lots of stress on the headstock but i think it best to leave itstock or mtb bars

but i did do 1500mil in tarvel this month so it was only a matter of time

and this was so wrong there was a band that was playing flobots today that no handel bars song and was talking aboute that song on my last delivery
which was strange

What ever you use you want it the best quality you can find and or afford. Cruiser and low rider stuff tends to be lower quality than racing, freestyle, bmx, mountainbiking and downhill stuff. Department store stuff is also lower quality than bike shop stuff as a rule. Steel tends to bend before it breaks and aluminum, carbon fiber tend to break with no bending they just let go. Things do just break but check the bike out often for stuff ready to fail.

I also meant to say condolences for the pain you are in the midst of. I crashed 2 months ago and am now feeling better, but it takes a while. You should survive, but ouch, OUCH!!!

Hey Turbo, heal up quick. Sorry to hear about your accident. Norman and I used to race go karts and I broke my collar bone on one those things. It's painful. I still keep looking at that jagged stob poking up out of there. Man that could've been real bad to have got impaled with that thing......................

Ouch, sorry to hear. I've never broken a bone, much less a collar bone, but I bet it's gotta hurt. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Hopefully they gave you some good meds, but be careful with those things.

I think I will keep this in mind whenever I do some handlebar changes.

I'm starting to think now that maybe it would be a good idea if we don't tighten up our goose necks to out handlebars so much. Maybe back off 1/8 of an inch. That way in the same situation your bars would slip before it would break.... naw.
But then again... yea?

Guess who wasn't wearing a helmet?

you know, justin...it could've turned out much more badly. You got lucky. Not saying that eating sh!t at 30mph was 'lucky', but you really could've squashed your melon.
