No spark, need help

I am in the process of transferring my motor from one bike to another. I got everything set up, but i had no spark. I used a multimeter to test the ohms for the cdi and the magneto. The magneto was perfect, but the cdi was giving an infinite reading on all of the wires. So I ordered a new cdi, which just came today. I put it on my bike and i still got no spark. Is my magneto somehow breaking these cdis or did i just have 2 bad cdis in a row?

I tried disconnecting the switch, and also the white wire is completely isolated, but both to no avail.
 
Oh my gosh im so dumb. The blue wire was accidentally touching the bike frame when i moved the bike. Sorry for wasting everyones time. Is there a way to delete a thread?

I say leave this post up so others will know how you fixed it. I've been building a long time and this stuff happens to me so don't feel dumb. It's just part of the fun of the ht motors.
 
Hahahaa, i had the same problem a while back, i replaced my magneto (water damage) and the motor quit after a few mins riding, and then realised i didnt cap the white wire and it was touching the exhaust!
 
runs a few mins. quits no spark wait 5 mins. and got spark again for a few mone mins . then will stop again im going CRAZY
 
Check for water under the ignition cover. A wet coil can do this for weeks before failing completely. ANY signs of water are a good indication of a wet coil shorting intermittently.
Also check all wiring, and cut or insulate the white wire coming from the engine.

Start by checking your wiring connections. If you are using the kit supplied plug-in connectors get rid of them. Solder those connections and protect them with heat shrink tubing.
Also the kit spark plug boots are the weakest link in the engine kits. Replace it with a good automotive grade boot and a spark plug with the top cap on it. The kit boots rely on electrical contact through the threads where the cap is supposed to be instead of full metal to metal contact like spark plugs are supposed to have.
