My New Build

IMG_20140505_075728.jpg

I got the rotor mounted up for the jackshaft brake. It clears the chain and the jackshaft. Took a little time and patience. Just as CulverCityClassic said, I had to show some love to the bolts. LOL! Now, I just have to figure out and fab up a mount for the caliper....

Thanks Guy! I will let you know after this weekend if you still have it. It is my daughters bday today and her party is this weekend. I'm trying to keep a close eye on my funds if ya know what I mean....LOL

Hey Mike you made that cool setup for a light and can't figure out how to attach the caliper for the jackshaft brake.... What.... That same light on amazon is 23.00 hope you did not buy yet.... You may have money to buy the good clutch.... With the savings...

You did a good job on that bike....

Jeff.....I can....lol! I am waiting on an avid caliper to arrive. I had an old generic caliper lying around and it was just not cooperating with me!!!!

I have not ordered yet. Thanks for the heads up man! I've already contacted Pat and will be ordering the clutch next week.

Thanks for the compliment! Once I get everything I want for the bike, my goal is to fine tune everything and make it look "factory/custom" instead of "put together"!

Out of all the bikes I've built, this was my favorite! I learned a lot, did 99% of the work myself! and realized I CAN DO THE WORK!

Awesome job Mike! It's amazing what your doing. I love the triple tree (Fito ?) I purchased two of those headlights from Pablo, 1 each for my sons bikes. They are amazingly bright and effective. Gonna look wicked tuff on that bike. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys! I actually have a little bit of spare time at work this week, so I will be working on a few little projects on the bike. Will post pics as the projects get completed.

I've been working on a front headlight mount. I used the above fork brackets and cut a piece of old handlebar to the correct width. I then used the lathe at work and turned down some aluminum, drilled it, tapped it, and pressed it in the handlebar....

Awesome simple mount, love it. Just had to order a set of them brackets.
Great job on the build looking really sharp.............Curt

This frame previously had the idler sprocket and bracket from SportsmanFlyer, but since I extended the dropouts by almost 6 inches it was rendered almost obsolete. So, I took a page out of CulverCityClassic's builds and fabbed up a plate from scrap metal I had lying around at work.....
