Should be fine kid, send in some pic's. My Hoot is still kicking I have close to 500km on it now.
See ya
nice! i just got my super industrial grease, its by lubemaster, it says its good for 20000rpms, 200 tons,400c and prohibits rust, it is grey and super sticky, wont come off hands! it says on the bottle do not get on skin(should have read that first) and causes blindness:eek:

but it looks good, i put alot(like a handfull) on the gears, went out for a 10 minute ride, came back, and its all off the gears and on the side casing, so i put 2x as much and am letting it sit overnight, so hopefully it will seep into the metal, my centrifugal clutch always engaged a little bit on idle(tire spins if off the ground) but lately its been engaging more, enough to stall the motor when its at a low idle, i turned the idle up a super tiny bit and it seems ok, motorboys, have you ever got it when you get ready to go and you give it gas and the engine just goes"booooog POOF!" and a huge cloud of dark grey smoke shoots out the intake and it stops running? just wondering what in the heck that is! it starts fine after that and runs ok, just wondering what it is lol!

any news on the new(ez?) thanks,

well the new grease is working great! i put in 3 times as much as i did of the green grease, its staying on the gears, i see no further wear, i just hate the whine in deceleration, but its not whining while riding anymore, so far so good, will keep you posted

im picking one up. is there any other oil anyone has tested other than grease. i will add a shim to fix the lining up of the teeth. but i don't want to keep removing the side cover to lube it every few rides. if motor oil makes the clutch slip. has anyone tested transmission oil? just wondering

thanks

never had or seen one of these tranny im still on the 2 stroke tip but just some food for thought, any way you can have 2 or 3 strategically placed automotive grease niples put in and just use a grease gun to uply grease couple times a week or wutever?

I am sure you could do that with maybe 2 grease nipples. I gotta tell ya Karma, I have applied grease once, I have now around 600kms on it I know it is not many KM's ,but I have not had one come back, they are lubed with what I think is engine oil when you get them, I took that off and put some sticky grease on it I took it apart just to see a week later and all was well so I have not checked again in 2-3 weeks.

he is correct, just a tiny dab of grease is working for him, but i am an overkill artist, plus i think i have a grease fetish because i secretly wait for the time when i get to take it apart and grease it up again! but thats just me, you may be perfectly fine adding grease once and leaving it, but if i were you i would at least grease it once a month, or add grease nipples, thats a great idea! i added about 2 cups of grease into mine(that entire gearbox has no air just full of industrial grease) and the clutch doesnt slip at all,

half the fun is experimentation. ill see when i get it. :) grease nipples is a good idea.
keep us posted on how it works out for ya! i think you will be pleasantly surprised, i have been putting mine through ****(i took it on the trails last night, i rode up a huge hill, i had my back tire spinning for a good 3 minutes as i climbed this muddy hill, i love the torque!)

linnix you got my attention with the spinning of the tire up a hill??? thats possible with you on the bike??? so i dont know much about these gearboxes except for what ive herd, this is what ive herd theyre CRAP and they work with 4 stroke engines if anyone could quickly brief me up on these and the kind of power they can produce id appriciate it, so do you change gears as you ride???

no gears, its just the same as an ht engine, but the 4 stroke has allot more low end torque, now i should state my back tire is bald, and the hill was pure mud, and i was leaning forward, but it can be done,

here is my bike, you can see how much torque it has,

YouTube - 49cc 4 stroke bicycle in the cold ice and mud

oh yeah and after that video when i got home and looked at my tire all the white rope stuff was coming through, so thats how bald it was,

and so far for me its not junk, its been a great gearbox, many kms on it so far and it hauls ass

i will be using it with a electric push trailer. that i started working on.

half gas half electric :)
Hey, I did one like that a couple years ago. Actually worked well until the climate got to it. I used a modified Bob trailer with a Ryobi driving a PM motor to recharge it. I would be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Hey Civlized, my next shippment does not come in untill feb. I ordered some chain drive but I did not get any belts maybe in the next one. I did order mostly hoot's with gears, as I have not had any returns and with my experience with them I have had no wear and no problems so far. The biggest thing is the whinnining noise with the gears, but linnix's seems quiet in the video he just posted so maybe shimming the clutch bell is a good thing.

I think I meant to say chain. I was thinking of the grubee box with the belt. Sorry about that. I may be interested in the chain box. I might even be interested in the gear box after hearing about your results.
