A few years back I got this new edition Whizzer from Dennis (DMB)
It's a yellow 24" Whizzer. Been sitting for a good while, with about 50 miles on it. My goal was to tame down the yellow, and not to remove much of it's original parts, and of course MY mods.
This is what a 2006 yellow Whizzer looks like from the factory. More to come.

I'm a fan! Look forward to seeing your version of this timeless classic.

I grew up when these were common sights around the neighborhood along with Cushman and Mustang scooters. I never owned a Wizzard but rode along side of them on my Cushman & Mustang. Most cruised easily at 45mph as did the 5 hp Cushman's, Mustang's were 65 mph cruisers with top end of all about 10 mph faster on top, respectively. Great memories of those rides and when the new Wizzard's & the California Scooter versions of the Mustang design came out, during a similar time frame, I was happy to once again see people enjoying them locally. I have a friend that had distributorships for both in my hometown & I rode both on several occasions & was quite impressed with each. Though I didn't ride either at the speeds I mentioned earlier they felt strong and I've gone on some cruises along side both & can attest that the Wizzard can keep up that 40 mph plus pace during 30 mile cruises. All this to say I really like your little yellow fellow what ever paint scheme he wears!

Ray the stance is better with the lowered forks, looks a lot less motocross & more Schwinn like. The flames give a '50's & '60's retro feel which is also appealing. Looks like you're freshening the top end of the motor as well. I'm sure you'll love it when completed & I already do!

Thanks Rick!
I also like the looks of the vintage Schwinn Whizzers. This one is a 1949 DX BFGoodrich badge machine. Waiting in the wings :)
The New Generation Whizzers still haven't been tap into, this is why I'm using War Machine, to show it's potential. New, but still a Whizzer.

Time to start disassembling the back side, removing the black rim and replacing it with the worksman rim and gumwall tire. I'm using the same spokes (105) and hub at came with the bike, just changed the rim and added the worksman's longer nipples.
Reinstalled the wheel, sheave,and fender.

Indian22 Rick, mentioned in a previous post about the top end being refresh. Yes,a bigger intake valve, combustion chamber reworked, piston modified.
I use a Dry film lubricant and thermal barrier to help control heat.motor runs around 300 degrees.
I also lightened the flywheel, removed 2 lb.

Nice work...great Improvments! Your Buddy Bruce might even start like them again...lol Love the flames did you paint them ?
Thanks MotoMagz!
Flames and pinstriping was done by Tom Clark, friend of Ed Big Daddy Ross (Rat Fink)
I'll post more pictures of the rest of the pinstripes.

Bruce is my Buddy!
When Mary passed away, things were very hard for him. Then his Whizzer got stolen!
I have two Luxembourg Whizzer frames, One for Bruce and the other for myself. I'm rebuilding his motor right now.
Thank you for your input.

Yep Bruce is a great guy. He has mentioned the Lburg. and says it’s the only way he will get another bike .So that’s good cuz he’s my riding buddy! We meet every year at the Portland VMBC show. You should come there are few guys from your area that show up.
I can’t believe that art work...And how it transformed the bike.Wowza!

Flames a piece of art!

Motor work looks great. I'm a fan of internal motor upgrades both for 4 and 2 cycle engines and not just for hp but just as much, or more so, for engine longevity; so I give a mental nod to those who take time to make certain.

Lol yep I'm a big fan & it's also due to my native American heritage...which is a pretty common trait for those of us living in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) & that's a nice example of the Scout you've shown. I no longer own one and most of my friends that had originals have passed on so I'm relegated to my tribute bikes and fond memories. I especially enjoy the Indian & HD bikes from the first two decades of moto-cycling.

Thanks for sharing the photos of your friend's Scout. I hope he hangs on to it!

Hi Rick!
These guys have lots of Indian motorcycles. Wish I did :)
They make new parts and and do the machine work. Here's a Indian parts store.

I saw your tribute bikes and their awesome!
I'm still looking for my Crocker motorcycle
38 or 41 will be ok.
A Fella's gotta have a vision right?

If you ever get into Whizzer, look me up. I got parts and stuff.
