Just a big ole Texas howdy to all those who remember me from way back in 2010 when I found this great forum here after getting into the hobby not actually knowing ehat I was getting into after buying my first kit from "Boy Go Fast" on ebay in 2009 he called the "Red Bat" kit which I still on the same bike to this day.....

Anyway, I been tinkering again and getying another Cranny done up after taking the enfine plum down and drilling crank and minor port work,etc...

Just wanted to say hello and hope all you other old timers are doing well.

Im sure some of my old buddies on here are gone from this gig by now, but just maybe they're a few left.

Welcome back. I was looking at some of the comments from years gone past and I saw yours during the look around. I often wonder where everyone has gone over the years. There are a few of us old timers left.

I’m still around, I haven’t been on the forum a lot but do check in from time to time. Starting July 1 I will have plenty of time, I’ve completed all my paperwork to retire June 30th. I still have the engine on the shelf that I balanced the crank in, I will probably build something around it at some point.

Thank you, I been itching for a while to get back to tinkering with the bikes, Im on a few FB groups that are all about the motorized bikes and I have been kinda set back in my seat a bit concerning just how many variations there are now compared to 10-15 years ago.

different bore sizes etc...

But, if nothing else what I have enjoyed seeing is the 8mm mounting studs being standard on pritty much all the engines now.

I have two of the "Triple 40" engines and have just recently gone through one of them and drilled the crank weight and raised the exhaust port a bit, lowered the intake port and I veey curious about how its gonna run.

Anyway, I wont bore you any more this time...LOL

Good to see familiar fellas here again who still enjoy the hobby.

Howdy there Mr. Greg my friend, very happy to know you're about to het the retirement deal done... must feel pritty darn good.

It will be the end of 2029 before I cross that bridge of nothing dont happen to mess it up.

I finally got me an engine together with the crank drilled and Im hoping to get it rinning this weekend if possible, I may have got the balance a bit to good and if so the low end power may be less than it would be with leaving the piston and rod side a bit more heavy on te balance jog I rigged up.

Some fellas on FB page told me it will still run good snd be smooth in the higher cruise rpms, but will lose a little low rpm grunt power if the balance is to good.

I guess Im gonna find out when I fire the.little booger up.

if the low end is a tad bit lacking, but it goea ahead and phlls up to cruise speed and that higher rpm is a lot smoother, I dont think Im gonna complain since most of my riding is cruising in mid 30smph or more if the engine and setup is capable.

Yeah, Ill3 be happy to hear how yoj drilled crank engine wotks out also when you have time to set it up on a bike.

I didn’t try to totally balance my crank, I was trying to move the vibrations to a higher rpm, as long as I can cruise at 30 or so mine will be fine.
