For Old Guys Only

Dude. The modern equivalent is the word POSER.

I am not an old guy (repeat. repeat. repeat.:)) I learned when I came to the land of 150,000 square miles, with 6 people and 12 cows per mile... that here in Montana, if you're far enough out, and the fella you're talking to is 'of a certain age': that usage is still appropriate. Believe it or not.

...the Dude abides...

...and you don't need to be that old a guy to remember...

I love that movie, and by all means let us partake in mass quantities!
freedom is as freedom does bro, live and let live i say.

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." Abraham Lincoln

Dr. Joyce Brothers has passed. Not kidding, this woman taught me how to pick up woman, land jobs and make sales.

The trick to people is there is no trick. They are just people. Say hello and start a normal conversation.

Truly genius in simplicity. Old world "tell it like it is"

Always wanted to send her a thank you note. Now it is too late.

RIP Joyce Brothers. The above advice will allow almost anyone, to do almost anything. Think about that...

Dan, did Dr. Brothers ever get "cracked up?" Don't think I ever saw that. Trey, a thought in the early morning... When I wore a younger man's clothes, I often acted, then thought about what I had done. In the Autumn of my life, I find myself thinking long over things before acting. Many times this negates the need for any action at all. I like this better, side affect is I'm in trouble a lot less often.

I'm kinda the opposite. When I was younger, I would think, "I probably shouldn't say that...", and didn't. Now, it's getting more frequent when I think, "What the ****, let's see what happens...."

Question: When do we leave the 'Autumn' of our life and enter the 'Winter' part?
Just asking 'cause it's starting to feel like late September or maybe October to me.

Tom

It's one of those 'who the **** knows' kinda things with all this global warming stuff going on.......

My body feels like it's October. My mind still thinks it's April. There are times when the two don't exactly mesh.

Man, I can relate to that. When I was younger I'd just watch, keep my mouth shut and not get involved. Now, I say exactly what's on my mind to whoever it applies to. And ya know what? I feel better about myself. :)

I can't tell you exactly when Fall turns to winter, probably when your mind and body come together in a rebellion against your spirit, telling you to tone back your aspirations. All I do know is, in my journey I've been getting random whiffs of roast turkey and dressing, in the metaphorical sense, so to speak.
Btw, who wears a "fanny pack" in front? Is that an unwritten code for something?
