Man is Herdan fast.....
I order my parts on Friday and got them this Monday!
Gasket kit
Extra base gasket
2 Crank seals
2 crank bearings
All for the low cost of $81.
Now I have to find the time to put the motor back together.

Well the bike is race ready. Dean replaced my gas tank bracket and rebuilt the motor. I had the rear wheel respoked with thicker spokes. Hopefully that will cure my snapping spokes issue. I hope she'll keep up with the rest of the fast bikes.

Now that I plan not racing anymore because of my knee issue. I plan on turning my barn burner into a quiet neighborhood-friendly E bike. I was planing on having someone race it for me but I've been dying to make a really cool electric. At first I was going to convert my LTS to electric but my son wants it for a track jumper. Here is the last video of it being my race bike. If anyone plans on racing and wants a fast motor set-up. HMU

I am sorry to hear this but we all must move on. Ya know kids and family come first. I say leave the bike as is and do a new build for that electric. I am going on the electric route myself...well kinda...it will have a combo power plant

I think electrics are the way to go for an enjoyable ride around town.
Jeff,
Can you honestly see my bike cruising around town without annoying the poop out of people. It's a loud and rude bike.
I can wait to see what's up your sleeve.

Wow sorry to hear about your knee. I know the feeling. Was kind of sad to hear you wanted to remove that beastly motor. Everthing just looks so nice on that machine..

How ever I am equally exited to see how the electric comes out? Have stared at this BoXer bike a few times and a electric set up would fit like a glove.

You guy's do such clean clever work. Cannot wait to see how the install looks! More importantly how you come to like the electric switch?

Yeah these machines tuned for pure power are beautifully rude!

Now that my BoXer ebike project is done, I'm thinking about building a mid class bike. I want to make it like Headtrama's mid class bike. A hard tail with a short travel front suspension. I have a 5.8 Morini at the shop. I'm going to start looking for a frame to start my project very soon. I'm thinking it might be easier to use the bottom end of my water cooled motor because the crank is messed up on my 5.8. I'm going to start this project real soon.

You should consider the bike I have available, it fits the bill of what you're looking for Easy Rider!

I think I'm going to build one with all the parts I have laying around and use one of my 8 bicycles I have. Plus it gives me something to work on in the man cave. :)

I am thinking about copyrighting the word eBoxer but I may let you use it. :)

The Midrange Class is going to be full at more than 25 entries for the Oct 19th
race......... would be great to see you there.

EDIT: Looks like Peugeot already beat us to it!

The Peugeot eBoxer is a practical and versatile commercial electric vehicle which produces zero emissions.

Who sells those cool frames with the built in tanks like the one Norm (Venice) won for the Amatuer HT Class? I think that's going to be the frame I want for my mid class bike.

I was thinking either a Schwinn or Dyno but I want to keep it simple and have the tank already built in. I have a beach cruiser I could use but I still ride it.

Rob at Piston Bikes sells the frames and has given two of them now as prizes
at the last 2 SoCal Motor Bicycle Races.

Norm won one on April 13th and # 90 Matt won one at the June 1st race
in the Amateur Class.

BoXer update:
As most of us know, I converted the BoXer to an 1kw ebike. I've put close to 2000 miles on the bike and had a blast doing it.
The next race at Willow Springs is only 4 months away. The last time I was there, I was very ill prepared. My bike crawled around the track because I forgot my sprockets. Instead of running my 63 tooth, I was forced to use a 47 tooth rear sprocket. Bad choice for a small tight track. So to make a long story short....I have to redeem myself.
Today I brought the eboXer to the shop so Dean can have some fun & ride it around town before we start converting it back to a racer. My plans are to take the eBike parts off and put it on a downhill bike I bought and bring the BoXer back to its roots...an air cooled gasser. I have a 5.8 Morini with a bad crank at the shop. I'm going to take the top end and put it on my h2o Morini since it has a good crank as well as a tomar clutch.
My goal is to have the bike ready so I can cruise around the track. However, when I get on the track my mind tells me otherwise.
