CNS cone filter HP throttle cable too long

I just got a new CNS high. Performance carb and after I installed it the action was OK except for the throttle cable after returning to idle the housing pushes out of handle housing 2 or 3 inches and both ends have the permanent set slugs agjustment???????please help!!!!!!.shft.
 
I use Norm's technique with excellent results. Just be sure to triple check the length before cutting the cable.

I found the silver solder kit at Home Depot. It came with both solder and flux.
Also, I have better luck using a butane torch instead of a propane torch, but if you are careful to not overheat the wire, either will work.
 
one can often find a bit of plastic tubing to lengthen the cable outer a bit, or a brake adjuster screw with the slot all the way up can be used then wrapped with wire to close the slot, but it may just be easier to get the shorter cable that is made for the CNS
