Are we in the electric Vehicle Revolution?

A hundred mile range is great, but I only have a 45 mile butt lol.

My butt has actually shockingly survived a 90 mile trip on my last bike, in LA traffic, in one go, on relatively flat terrain. If I can get 100 miles range, on flat terrain, on batteries alone, at the speed of traffic, claiming the entire car lane, gutter-free the entire way, then I will have accomplished something. LMAO

A 100 mile range sounds like a lot but with LA's terrain and all the stop lights that 100 mile (flat terrain) range is gonna get chewed up like a side of beef at a piranha pot luck dinner. LOL

The owner of this eBike shop has just opened a store in Dallas. Dallas's first ever dedicated eBike shop. eBikes are happening. Besides this new store, there's many other bicycle shops in town where you can buy an eBike, but there's no shops that sell china girls.

I'm gonna do my best with my bike to speed up the "e-bikes-r-cool phenomena" since a majority of e-bikes look like something a grandma should be riding, and have grandma performance specs to match.

Yeah, I'm doing my part here in Dallas too.

Nothing turns heads more than what seems to be "just a bicycle" pull away from a stop light at Ferrari like speeds leaving cars sitting still just trying to get out of 1st gear. Which is my I'll do my best at hiding anything that's electrical related to make it look as mundane as it can possibly look. I miss those priceless moments. laff

This is where an eBike really excels. No other bike is so versatile. It can have performance like you describe, and at the same time be perfectly comfortable riding at 8 mph with beach cruisers in a rally. Then you can rocket home at high speed.

Yep. The most my last controller could dump into my e-hub motor was 43A with a 48V battery pack. I plan on momentarily quadrupling that figure with a 72V pack. In complete silence, with a GoPro camera mounted on the left side ammo can, facing rearward. It ought to be interesting to say the least. LMAO

So what is the trend for the pricing of these motors?
The hub motors seem to be all the rage, and my assumption they would be easier to maintain and be more dependable.

Seems like electronic goods, priced high at first, then they lower the price for the stragglers once the rich folks get their fill.

I'd like to gfet a kit by this summer, but I want to make a good choice vs cost, power, speed, and quality.

My dual suspension Raleigh wants to go electric.

Everything electric is at one place. I will soon be spending a small fortune there myself. LOL

-I have seen some e-bikes that I would be proud to ride at any car show, like the Caterham.
-The Caterham is a very expensive design studio e-bike, but you can build something similar for far less.
-It's not necessary for an e-bike to look like a geekcycle.

True. It's sad that the USA designed bikes, all look like Grandma Bikes. Leave it to the Aussies or British to design it right. LOL

What about it? It's quiet and clean but that's all I know.

I love belt drive. Gates is the largest manufacturer of belt drives and now they're targeting electric bicycles. What's that tell you?

Gates, which has increasingly been targeting the electric bike market with its Gates Carbon Drive, has joined the Light Electric Vehicle Association, the international trade association for electric bikes.

As battery prices drop, electric bikes and other EV's are gonna explode in popularity. There is no doubt about that.
