No, it really does. As soon as I learn how to post a pic on this forum, I think you'll see that my motorized bicycle is fully capable of flying uphill at 50mph. By the way. I've done 70 lol. Somebody tell me how to post a pic and I'll show you how I did it. Is it legal? No. Is it sane? No. Is it fun? Heck yes.

shiloh0 when you suddenly stop posting we will know why ;)

I wear a real motorcycle half shell DOT approved helmet. I felt silly at first BUT when a motorcycle was cruising down a nearby street slowly was hit and rider very hurt I decided it was less silly than NOT wearing helmet. In MA where I am, I have to wear the helmet but I feel better with a lid on my head...

anyway. 50MPH on a soild bike should be doable in short bursts. I hit 33mph on a rough patch of road and it sucked more than i can tell you, hit the same speed on a smooth stretch and it was an exhilarating feeling... I don't maintain those speeds on my friction drives but can't wait to see what my HT will do.
AYe ive got my tortoise shell helmet as well. ( frommy harley days) it looks as though it has more protection than a traditional helmet. more weight yes,but more protection

Easy, click the orange "Reply" gear, then scroll down to where you see the tab "manage attachments, and go from there no need for photobucket or any other source.

WTF?!?! When is this all gonna stop???
We now have people claiming that their bikes go almost 45 MPH with a 44T, & we have others claiming that theirs are capable of going 50 MPH UPHILL & HAVE DONE 70 MPH???

I call 'BS' on all of you!

We had one one of the guys from Gasbike.net bragging that his bike goes 42 MPH... When it came time to ride, he was at the back of the pack on our last LA ride!!!

To everyone, STOP CLAIMING THAT YOUR BIKES GO THAT FAST, BECAUSE THEY REALLY DON'T!

So Venice, are you gonna rain on my parade and tell me that 257mph and a trip to the moon are out of question? I had set a new goal.

All true!
I have gone 55 mph, down hill, without an engine. I crashed. I hit the gaurdrail on the outside of a turn and flew over it, and a cliff. I landed at the bottom, saved only by the thick underbrush and briars. I was almost naked! I had cuts and scratches from head to toe.

My bike was ruined.

I will never go 50 on a bicycle again.
