I want you to turn it into a 3 speed shifter. Use a Strumey Archer S3X IGH. Then it be like having a 36t,48t,58t in the rear. From a dead stop, you could go up any hill at least 27 mph and have a level ground cruising speed of 43 mph.

You still would need to figure an output sprocket and another dropout to mid mount it somewhere like a jackshaft. I’d just go direct drive until you get the entire build situated. The jackshaft hub will add a great deal of complexity.

Yes exactly so :) I'm wondering how it would go driving the hub with a belt and pulley instead of a chain. Finding a v-belt and pulley narrow enough would be a challenge. I'm not sure about tooth belts/pulleys. My own experience with Gates PowerFlex 7 mm belts is that they tend to be...

If I'm remembering it correctly Cannonball modified a the direct drive (2nd) causing the hub to no longer coast but act like a fixed gear in that it could go in either direction. Meaning you didn't have to cross over to the right side to drive the IGH; both sprockets could be put on the left side.

The Strumey Archer S3X is a fixed geared IGH. The 3rd gear is the direct drive. Therefore there's no need to go inside of the hub.

You can get a U bracket from Staton Inc. I can also show you a way to make this bracket twice as strong using unistrut.

U bracket 5" legs with three 17/64 holes and two 3/8" punched holes plus bracket plate with: 3 ea. 1/4-20 x 1-3/4" hex head bolts and 3 ea. 1/4-20 nylock nuts. This bracket is used on our Friction Drive kits and the Gear & Chain Drive kits.

This is brilliant! It may take some time, but I'm building one. Thank you for bringing this to my attention because I got that sturmy in a trade and it's just been sitting here and this is perfect!

These are the custom handle bars I'm building for the tandem. I'm a Taurus so I was kind of trying to capture the image of a bull.

I ran out of welding rod so they ain't done yet... But yeah!

I've cut the back crank down and welded the two back chain rings together..... and added an .... Amplifier to my tail pipe. I will try and make a video... It's a 12 inch aluminum cylinder out of an oxygen purifier. (It holds the granuals that purity the compressed air) . I cut it to fit on my f2 thruster pipe.

It sounds like a 125cc and I got top end for days... Let me see if I can upload a video... Hang on.

I found these mostly on English motorcycles. I got my eye on a set like this for my bike. Hmmm... Maybe on a set of ape hangers or 1 inch rise "z" drag bars... At least play into the bars I built.

Just be careful to not get a loose fitting clothing sleeve caught on it.
