Yup... pink... or actually more like a lavender/ light purple color... This is the low strength stuff, kinda like the green but it doesn't penetrate like the green does.
That would be Loctite #222, or what they call, "Adjustable". Good for things like needle valves or calibration screws that need to be turned but you don't want them vibrating out. Good stuff. I've used it too.Yup... pink... or actually more like a lavender/ light purple color... This is the low strength stuff, kinda like the green but it doesn't penetrate like the green does.
I've found that even after torquing them, they can still come loose over time.Im guessing you do this to take some of the load off those tiny woodruff keys by helping to prevent the small gear and drive sprocket from being able to possibly slip on the shaft.
Good idea, does the little china puller stay pop those parts off the shaft fairly easy?
well knock on wood I've been fortunate so far and haven't had issue with small gear, sprocket or magnet loosening on any of my engines and I hope it stays that way.....lol!I've found that even after torquing them, they can still come loose over time.
Not the magnet... the engine chain sprocket.well knock on wood I've been fortunate so far and haven't had issue with small gear, sprocket or magnet loosening on any of my engines and I hope it stays that way.....lol!
I knew you didn't say magnet, I was just adding that to the mix in my comment, wasn't really quoting you directly. Not the magnet... the engine chain sprocket.
