Found a new one local with long shaft- Going to grind down the engine fly wheel and install the friction pull cup on it and put it up for sale on here to pay for that engine:/ bummer but thank for that again this build is all new to me
Just a hick up in the learning curve you know- theres a long shaft honda gc190, honda gc160, and honda xc160 available around me pretty cheap so I have options!
I just dont think anyone will buy this engine unless I clean it up and finish it
Nice find. That engine should push you up to 50 mph.
Just think about that when choosing forks. Modern Whizzer triple tree forks are really solid. I picked mine up used off Ebay for $100.
anota below is an image of how I mount exhaust flanges as stated in the pm to you.... Use never-seize on the threads and with the use of a castle nut you won't be breaking things in the future!
As for the pto shaft bolt...remove it and run a tap in to clean the threads then use a blow gun to get the trash out.
Theres just a ton of crap in it! I cleaned it. Wedged a lot of a rag in the shaft and put a small drill bit it the cloth and just let loose and spun it and then pulled it out and put new pieces in until no visable dirty was on the rag bits.
Thats a really good idea- without ragnarok this build would be long over haha thank you man!
Im just going to buy a better bolt same size better steel because threads on bolt are kind of smashed but threads in shaft are still 100%
Just going to pick up a better bolt but hang on to the one I have. Ripped down the flywheel and put the friction pull cup on it... Actually its a 95 cent steel sink drain that works more than perfect.
Pics with rope on and rope off. I dont like the look of flywheel with stubby fins so later on i might grind them completely flat. I have a 22mm Mikuni Carb and air filter coming!! new for $50!!
