I had to stop taking statins I was given after the heart attack, like many, I developed screamingly sore joints. Look up the word bastinado, that's what my feet were like.

No thanks on the bastinado Lud!. My feet are not really an issue, thank goodness, I think partly due to the fact I have worn Red Wing boots ever since I can remember. Not very stylish in today's designer tennis shoe circles, but work for me. So have you been able to treat the foot pain?

I stopped taking them, the pain went away. I've always worn well fitting shoes. 25% of the bones are in the feet, that's a lot of joints to annoy if you wear the wrong thing.

Otero! I think I'll have a go with the Capzasin. I'm a big fan of hot sauces and believe that consuming them often is a healthy thing to do. I grow lots of different peppers every summer including Habaneros, but must admit they push my limits. I know the first time I decided to just try one right off the plant was a bit more than I was prepared for. Thanks for the advice.

A few posts back I asked about CO2 cars. Here's a couple I still have that I dug out of a box in my closet. One I built from thin balsa wood is supposed to resemble my sedan The other is a dragster and I used 1/8th inch brass tubing for the chassis. Both were pretty fast. We got serious about timing them and figuring out the speeds. We were in the 100mph range on a smooth concrete warehouse floor. Our 'dragstrip' was 75' long.

Anyway, just wondering if any of my old friends here ever played with CO2 cars. Building a small race car that is powered by a CO2 capsule.
My Dad and I did this when I was just a wee lad and I got some friends into it several years ago. I still have a couple of my cars but haven't run them for a while.
Maybe when it warms up outside I'll try to get a couple of my neighbors into it.
Good cheap fun.

No... but I had a "Real McCoy" Cox tethered car, when I was in the one digit age bracket. When I saw the prices for these things now I almost soiled myself & to think my brother and I drag raced these things into a brick wall they lasted for several of these one way trip races too. We sure had some fun back in them 70's

The 'Red Head McCoy' was a very popular model airplane engine in the mid to late 70s. I had a couple of them, one with dual glowplugs. Great old engines that we took for granted. I wish I had a couple of them today. They'd be worth a few bucks, no doubt.
