For the Grange race, I vote for a counter-clockwise direction. It's only for selfish reasons though, I suck on that track running clockwise.

Thanks Neil for the fun times at Willow, I wasn't really competitive with Shane, Andy, and team Arrow, but I had a blast trying to lay down the tightest turns I could. A little scary at times trying to exit the turn as fast as possible, but not get sucked out to the wall by centrifugal force.

Who knew going around in circles could be so fun. Gilbert you need to get that flat head back in your bike. Keep the pressure washer motor for cruising around town with lol.

I will always favor the Grange in the clockwise direction.

the track is built to run clockwise ( look at what side of the start line the starting blocks are on)

Thanks, almost as dumb as dmb's suggestion.
Really.....why is that dumb? It would take more skill to win than people realize.

How about some le mans style starts at the next oval race?
Now that sounds dumb.....how bout not? I don't have a problem with it except that it's Willow, NOT Le Mans!

compton is not a safe place for me due to some youthful trouble making. not that it was not well deserved long long ago. but some hold a grudge forever and i'm too old to dodge bullets now.

The track was also build for Go Karts, not bicycles. Either way is fine with me but I think my fastest lap times have been CW.

I also think we should alternate so if it's a vote, CCW is the norm.

I can't really imagine running willow springs oval CW. Which way do you think boardtrack racing, Flat Track, TT, Speedway and most oval events race? That's right, CCW!

Yes Andy, I do have a soft spot for the briggs flathead, and I will get it running again, but even with the performance cam, it doesn't seem to pull as hard as the honda. It seems like the honda is a little faster, even if it is a pressure washer motor.

Now a jr. dragster briggs 5hp would be a different story. I might have to take Dennis up on his offer.

Hope to see you all at Grange, hopefully it won't be too hot.

That motor Dennis has would be a good motor for you to try . you would need a starter box to start it I would think .

Ill be at Grange for sure , I am getting my KTM clone ready for that race .
