No Head Gasket Opinions

i tried running minefor a week one time to try this theory i personally noticed no better or worse performance but i did notice oil coming out of from the head i put a new one on and cleaned it

I installed a slant head without a gasket on a non-slant engine and it made a huge difference...

if they dont leak i dont see a problem, but if they do, sooner or later your gonna have a extra exhaust port [head] or a burned piston [base], then again i've seen yellow 3M weatherstripping or JB weld do wonders dennis

I decked mine on glass with sandpaper and used high heat gasket maker as a gasket and no problems so far and I have to say there was a slight increase in power most likely from upping the compression prolly got 100 miles on it like this so far!

Use of copper in the home metalworking workshop

Copper is softer than Aluminum it might seal nicely. Problem is they will make you buy a big honking sheet of it to find out I think

Brass would work as well and you can get small sheets of it at places like Ace and hobby centers. I think .005 and maybe thinner.

Expensive waste of gold. If you're gonna use gold, you may as well use lead.......it will just melt and turn into no gasket and a huge compression leak (as in blown head gasket).

I'm running without a head gasket as well. I'm not doing it as performance...its just my gasket blew and I need a temporary fix till tomorrow for when I can order a new head and gasket. XD (( btw tech that gasket sealer dosent work well. Its messy.))
