thanks. they're on my 24" worksman wheels. i had a set of 26's on, and they looked huge. i like the 24's for quicker acceleration, and to lower the bike.

i don't think anyone's gonna be able to touch this bike on that long straight. i blew my buddy's volkswagen bus away from 0-50...:)

I'll be using Pat's Go-Pro video cam on my helmet.....sure to have some great footage of the racing action. Not quite as good as being there though, you don't want to miss this one if you can help it......it's more than just racing.

I saw him do 54 on GPS twice with a 27T. He's small, light, fearless, and harder than a Solex trying to keep up with him!

Gonna be awesome watching him and Magrider battle it out. Magrider knows his lines, and his bike is deceptively well-built in person!

thank you, I look forward to Saturday, it's going to be a great time.
see you in the pits....

I have a mountain bike and fixin to order the friction drive from Staton Inc. I have been through a few different styles dont care for theme and think that I will give the friction drive a chance,I have researched this style kit.Who can recommend the right drive roller, for sort of an all round one for commuting and going up the bridges becouse I will go up the kemah bridge occasionaly and which would be a good one haul a bike trailer loaded down,I know I cant spell worth a darn. Please educate me again I am new and already have made some expensive mistakes thanks to all. By the way I would like to see if there are any people in the houston area that get together on the weekends camping trips wanna find a club or.crt..crt. a group to get together with
thanks John.

duce, there's a 30t sprocket on the left side. i dunno what you see that's different, could be my coaster brake strap, or a little red bullet taillight peeking out, but there's definitely a sprocket back there (manic mechanic adapter and a 30t steel motorcycle sprocket.) there's also a hardhat headlight strapped to the front, and a license plate on the other side, out of view, because i gotta ride this beast to work.

as far as top rpms the whole time, i wish! but the bike doesn't wind out till 50 something mph, and it gets there quick, so i should see top speed in the straights. i've been riding it everyday since sunday, and it's mostly tuned, and fast enough to keep me out of the bike lane and mingling with traffic. you should see the looks on the faces of the people in cars when i'm pedaling off the red lights alongside them, then accelerating as fast as they are! :)

i've been through 2 tanks so far, and rode about 40 miles today, and this thing just begs for more. i'm really amazed at how this motor came out. and, i'm using the stock NT carb on it! not even an expansion chamber!

if i had more time, i'd build an x chamber and a manifold for my 16mm mikuni, but that'll all have to wait (bonneville, anyone?)

i'm beyond stoked at how this bike came together, and when i'm riding it, i don't want to get off it. i wish everyone could ride it to see how a china doll engine should be.

but, nobody rides my bike but me...:)

i'm definitely ready to tear it up on the track.

funny, last week, the bike wasn't even close to being built, i had no ride, and it was starting to look like i wasn't gonna make it...

looks like a tight schedule. no time for breakdowns. not that i expect any from my bike...:)

weather looks like mid 80's. .
5 Day Weather Forecast and Conditions for 92307
Weather looks good.

You can print out the race schedule now so you know when you are
riding.

The heats and finals you are racing in are scheduled so that when
the heat or final before yours starts you will be at the starting area
ready to go
.

That would be 15 minutes for the heats
and at least 15 minutes for the finals even though they are 25 minutes.

Please bring a watch/time piece and it is the plan to give you a copy of the
race schedule when you sign in at the gate on Saturday or Friday.

There will be announcements on the PA but it would be best if you follow
the times on the schedule too.

It is going to be a working race with the riders helping out with scoring,
flagging, checking safety equipment etc.
Flagging and scoring is a fun task if everyone helps out.

After your race or heat is finished you have time to take your bike back
to your pits then come over to by the starting line to help out with scoring,
flagging, etc.
You will be helping out with the 2nd heat or final after yours ends.

I hope that this is clear and we will be going over the details at the
riders meeting from 9.40 to 9.55am

Please let me know if you have any questions.
thanks
