Just use a little bicycle tube, theres conflicting opinions on that but if theres a gap, theres not much else you can do... at least that i know of. Just throw some rubber in there, im keen to see your bike done, should be real nice

Seems the later production motors have 1 1/2" mounts while the early engines have 1" mounts. I try to get the engines to match the frame tube diameter and Worksman is 1" tubes. Still, you can shim the engine mounts. I have only done it once mounting a PK-80 to a Schwinn. I used a 1" x 1 1/2" bushing and cut it in half. It worked. Maybe others have a better solution.

Yep thanks for the suggestions. They're not 1 1/2, but just a little over 1" (maybe by about 1 or 2mm). When I get around to it I'll measure them.
Really happy with Norm's @ Venice Motor Bikes wheelset. Weinmann rims are the same colour as the bike. 12g spokes, CB110 rear hib

Looks outstanding. Nice work.... i must have missed something, did you say you got the wheelset from Venice Bikes? But i thought someone locally was building your wheels?..... whoever did em they look great, i like the black rims a lot more then the chrome you were planning

the local ones that were laced for me, had mismatched rims, one was narrower than the other, & one was new & the other old & untidy. Bicycle shop that did the lacing havent rectified this.

So I didnt go back to get them, left them at the shop, down 2 hubs but whadda you do?

Norm's set with the Weinmann rims is excellent!

Well you've created some real nice parts, & I'll say it again, the tank & oil tank are masterpieces of design & metalwork.
These bikes have a nice low slung look, I really like it. (Low is where it's at for me, my Sportster is lowered 2" at front, & 2 1/2" at rear).
I have a cruiser bar, but waiting for my stem to arrive, so mocked up the cruiser bar anyway. I didnt like how it makes the bike look higher.
I want something with a low look, but I dont want the 3 piece boardtracker bars (they are also masterpieces, but just not what Im after).
Ideally I want the style in these pics, but havent found any yet...I want them in chrome, if I get them made up, the chroming locally is very expensive...any suggestions welcome...

also does anyone know where to get the chrome side covers for the China 2 stroke? Bikeberry arent getting any stock for another 4 to 6 weeks...

here's one more pic. I will think more later about exactly where the coil will go, making the wiring tidy, & stuff like that.
My older son came in the door & said ' that looks like it belongs at MOTAT '.
If you lived here in Auckland you would realize that's the best thing you could hear: MOTAT is the Museum of Transport & Technology where they keep old motorcycles, vintage cars, trams, trains, a Lancaster bomber, & so on.
Im also waiting for the chainbreaker that I ordered, to arrive.

Flip your bars over and they will look alright.... or if you want something like those in the black Indian picture you supplied you can always look for ape hangers or something similar and cut them down and you will have something similar.... go to a bike shop and have a look for something you can cut down.

Its your bike but please please please dont put chrome sidecovers on, i think they look cheap and tacky

saw this 'dimension arc bar' locally, if I could find something with a little more curve would be cool.
what's the coating on the motor? grey paint? some kinda zinc coating? has anyone tried taking that coating off & see what the metal underneath looks like? or am I already looking at the metal ? (haha)

I suggested that to him earlier, im not sure he read it or maybe Brett suffers from ADD and is frantically googling every bar ever made ..... just kidding Brett, you are very thorough and it gets good results and i am liking those VO bars you found, they are a winner i think
