Automatic 2 Speed

This hub is from SRAM and is an automatic shifting 2 speed. Universal Cycles -- Sram Automatic 2 Speed Hub

What are your thoughts on this? Has anyone tried it yet?

I've also been wanting to try this Sturmey 3-speed 'fixed' hub with a shift kit... Sturmey Archer

i thought about doing the 3 speed fixed myself. i ended up just doing the standard 3 speed after reading that 2 strokes don't like motor braking or coasting. Still might try it since these super rats are so hard to pedal start. Hey venice, are your monarks back in stock?

Cheaper than a 2 speed kickback hub. If I needed to replace my back wheel, i would try it.
There are some bikes from Trek and Raleigh (coaster bikes?) that come with an autoshift three speed on it. It would be cool to buy a used one.

if it helps the sturmey 3 speed fixed works the same forward or backwards so you can flip it.

Would like to hear how this works out for you. On my bike I manually shift the front three gears and the rear seven shift automatically.
