Those sprigs gotta be for a 18,000 20,000 rpm engine? Your new clutch looks cherry! You might even have a heavy duty model. Do both clutches weigh the same?

Re: Dave31 scsw BoXer

This is prolly a bit of a given for these get ups. While I wreck-en its a bit of Russian roulette. One clutch may go forever and another breaks. We are asking these clutches to do and perform with more power than the china's manual clutch could or would ever do I think.

No body seams to be breaking the grippa model tho.

Re: Dave31 scsw BoXer

Okay I give up, how in the heck do you get the unit back together, springs, pads, and rotor.

No matter how I do it I cannot get the one spring to hook back up. I guess this is why they come all together as a unit lol.

Re: Dave31 scsw BoXer

hehe, tricky lil buggers aint they.

you can pull one of the spring pins to get the whole kit together. Might need a third hand for a minute but it can be done.

may be easer to remove the drag links (masterlink looking things & keep them oriented proper) & get the springs on the shoes, then slip that assy onto the hub, then re-align & incert the drag pins & keepers.

oh & hold your mouth just right.
good luck. T

Yes they are a bit of a trick don't use any pry tools those springs will stretch and stay that way A big no no I learned the hard way. Makes a slower ride.

Its the wheel (rim) out-of-round. You can see how the bike bounces up and down, its horrible even at 15mph, I just hope it can be saved.

Re: Dave31 scsw BoXer

I locked up the rear wheel going into a corner at DR and the wheel "hopped" on me, been like that ever since.

I have tried to true it myself but not having any luck. I need someone who is more experienced with wheels.

Re: Dave31 scsw BoXer

Off hand I do not know but it's the same as my Specialized Rockhopper CompA1
Thanks, i need a wider crank but i don't want to give up my splined type crank arms for the old square taper type.
And of COURSE shimano just HAD to change systems AGAIN so a wider factory replacement is difficult to find.
Any one got the hook up for Shimano Octa link bottom brackets?

Re: Dave31 scsw BoXer

These are not wide cranks; if you were to mount the morini in a regular frame then yes you would need wide cranks but the BoXer frame is specifically designed for the Morini so no need for any wide cranks.
