How many miles does your 2 stroke engine have? What Chinese brand is it?
How many refills have you done and how much do you ride it daily?

I know one person reported having a BGF engine with 1200 miles and still running strong.

List your mileage and brand of engine.
If you have more than 1 motorized bike you can list as you wish.
Also tell if your engine is broken or is running strong still.
I'm very curious and I hope many people answer.

On 5th gallon of gas. Skyhawk 66cc made by gunbee. As far as the question how far has it lasted from stock with no mods....5 miles. Broken engine mounts broken rag joint 410 chain becoming stiff and hard due to bump starting CNS carb being total crap. Now the real question how long does it run when you maintain all these problems and upgrade components as they fail? Well... about 500 miles and going strong she purrs like a kitten.

So far... maybe 2 miles or less, lol.

I just put mine together about 3 weeks ago, but then broke the spark plug cap the next day. New one just came in today. I'm never ordering from pistonbikes again; they are based in California, I'm in West Virginia. Will be looking for a closer parts site.

My oldest and the first has been retired with 1800. Still runs just a very uncomfortable bike to ride. Chris Hill, CH-80 on an old Roadmaster road bike. Stiff and hard on my bones.

My second has just under 800 miles on it, still runs great and strong. Dax 80 on a Schwinn Jaguar.

Third is another Jaguar with a Dax 80. Has a little over 1000 on the odometer. It's the best running of all and my favorite to ride. Soft seat and I keep the tires soft. I call it the Norton Jag.
None have ever left me stranded or failed to start/run.

I wonder why the 3rd engine Dax80 is better running than the 2nd engine Dax80 when it is the same exact engine? Thanks.

No idea. I have to assume it's because of a small difference in ignition timing. I've done a lot of experimentation, checking port timing, compression, even switched parts such as carb. CDI with no difference. I've checked the location/position of the magneto rotor against top dead center. It's the same as my other engines. The one engine just simply runs stronger than others I've had. If it's any significance there is also noticably less intake noise, the pop, pop, pop sound from the carb that you normally associate with a 2stroke on the better running engine. In fact it is amazingly quieter than the others.
I've yet to determine why. Any guesses?
Right now I don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I just ride and enjoy it.

I have a 69cc Flying Horse that has about 200 miles on it....definately been a teaching tool....just had to replace the magneto on this engine....I say "this engine" because this is the second Ive put onto the bike the first broke a motor mount stud that I will have to take to a machine shop to be drilled out and re-tapped, as I broke the drill bit in the stud attempting to easy out it. On that engine I believe I had about 300 miles on it.

I have just over 2500mi on my boy go fast z2-80 I ride 10 mi back and forth to work and 30 to 40 mi rides on weekends. Bike hits 40 mph with a 36 tooth ,and still climbs steep hills.

I bought my 66cc engine kit around march, been runnin' it since. Have around 120-130 miles on it. Been avoiding main roads. Haven't ridden it much since i was ticketed. Gonna buy a 49cc engine so i'll be legal. Runs fine so far. Clutch bearings need greasin', but great little engine.

You were ticketed for a displacement/ engine size being too large?
How did they figure out the displacement?

no, but my engine is 66 and the that requires a motorcycle indorcement and license etc. I bought it just for the extra hp so i can get to my friends houses that live way in the boonies down dirt roads.

I have over 1,000 miles on my Tanaka 47R engine that I bought new. I expect it to last 10,000 miles before it needs a rebuild.

It has never given any trouble from day one.xct2
