Coming Soon...4 stroke Full Suspension Bicycle!

Easy Rider

Santa Cruz Scooter Works
I visited the shop today and saw Dean tinkering with a bike in the shop. It was a 50cc 4 stroke full suspension street bicycle with a cvt. It was sporting 24"x3" street tire on some extra wide rims. The tank was built into the frame and the bike is flat out gorgeous...even without a paint job.
Dean promised that this forum will be the first to view the finished product once the proto type is in the R&D stages.
Stay tuned.

I stopped at pipelyne to day and the new tires and rims look good.
This is going to be a sweeeeeet bike!!! I still think it needs some chopper forks..trk

I took the bike out for a spin and was quite pleased with the DB levels. The bike is super quiet and real smooth. The bike has good lowend torque and the bike topped out at around 40ish. The bike has an electric starter which makes it easy start. Tomorrow I plan on weighing the bike then taking it up on the back roads of Milpitas to see how she handles. Here's a better picture of the bike.

Thanks, The bike is still missing the head and tail lights which can be hooked up thru the wiring harness. All week long it's been raining and hailing pretty hard. I hope it eases up for a few hours so I can ride.

GY6 engine. Ingenious way to install. Looks good and gives real moped performance. I am curious to hear about the weight. Always good work. Have fun, Dave

You had me curious about the weigh so I pulled out the scale underneath the bathroom sink and the darn scale needs a 9 volt! I've got 4 scales in my kart trailer so I'll grab one tomorrow. If I were to guess, I would say 80-85 lbs.

I got a chance to weigh the bike today before I went on a short 10 mile run. It was a little heavier than I expected. With a full tank, the bike weighed 98lbs. The bike is great to ride. I was a little cautious because it started to rain again. The bike made it up Calaveras road no problem. I was following a Audi up the road and I still had some throttle left. Very smooth, quiet and comfortable.

Easy Rider's bike is more of a motorcycle crossover than anything else. It's a fine looking bike to say the least, but it looks as though it would get up to 50 - 60 mph easily. What size are those tires, and do the cops ever give you a second look? Good luck with it.

I'm loving the progress! For what it is 98lbs aint bad; there's a lot of moving parts in that motor. What a fun piece. It is really fun to see this form TranSportation both take root and branch out! Truly inspiring!
.wee.

Considering all the scrap metal etc I used on my build Thats just 2 pounds lighter than mine. My tubes are fully slimed as we have Goat Head stickers here. Not bad looking bike there. Looking forward to seeing how the build works out.. Dean does great work! Always fun to see his stuff!

Now here is a Goathead sticker! That's out there with the Jackalopes
