I might be missing something or my eyes are deceiving me... but have you used a spool speedo drive off the front wheel to power the headlight?

If so its a brilliant idea... I love the bike :)

Jemma xx

Your eyes are not decieving you, really, but you can't see what's in the headlight housing. I wanted to do exactly that, but so far, it's battery powered. The speedometer is in the headlight housing so that is what the drive is going to right now. Like I said.....never done.

That gets a certified Bikeguy Joe's "Absofrigginlootly Awesome!"

I can only build in the likeness of your shadow.

Thanks all!

The leaf itself does not provide the spring action- in that sense, it is ornamental. It does serve as the front fender, though. The front fork uses a standard Schwinn style springer to smooth things out.

A few higher quality pics...a few smudges, I rode 36 miles the day before.

A few detail shots.

The first shows my custom speedo face.

The second is a pic of the oil drain hose I added to make changes easier.

The third shows how the engager is permanently engaged- it can be easily disengaged if needed.

My 3 year old assistant- Teddy.

He says he wants a motorcycle, but I asked him if he was going to build it. He said: "No, it takes to long. I'll get one at the motorcycle store".

Man Houghmade, Looks like your hard work has paid off. That is one awesome piece of art!
I'm glad I don't own it because everynight I would be sleeping in the garage admiring it until I fell asleep. :D
I think its time to enter her in a couple of shows.
