Why do old posts keep popping up in topics?

I don't mean to post on dead topics or topics that have been put to sleep already but it looks like they're just talked about yesterday.

I'm into the topic not the date... they're right there why don't you put a caption or a button or some bull shirt on there so that people know that it's a dead conversation?

You have the date that someone last posted on the thread. What more do you need? Commenting on an old thread with fresh information may well help someone in the future.

You can always make a request to the administrator and ask that threads more than 3 years old be highlighted with a Warning
"Thread is more than 3 years old, it's better to start a new thread"

Who knows maybe @erics will think it's a good idea
