Westfield Rambler 1940 question

I bought this bike for $70 from an antique dealer. It is a skiptooth rear kickstand bike. I have the kickstand but it is not in the picture.
I would like to restore it before mounting an engine on it. If anyone has a picture of a rambler of the same erra please post it so I can copy the paint pattern.

Thanks

Russell

those were Columbia-Westfield bikes. try a search for those and you might get something close.

also try nostalgic.net

they have a huge picture archive.

THAT! That's it! That's how I'm gonna make the tank for the Higgins frame! I can do that. And red. The whole bike'll be red. Gold letters. White tires. (That bike looks enough like the JC Higgins I just salvaged a little while ago that, when I saw how the tank on yours looked and fit, it just clicked with me. That's exactly what I want to do.) Thanks loads for showing us the awesome bike, and for the inspiration.

What a steal! The previous owner wasn't much of a painter, but at least he preserved that head badge! You will probably get some help with that on ratrodbikes.com
