I drained the carb and fuel lines and put in 32:1. I also took apart the carb to see if everything was correct -- appears to be. It runs a little better, but still a constant miss, and will only hold an idle if I have the screw almost all the way in. The engine is running way too rich -- I have a lot of fuel/oil around the bottom of the muffler. I was hoping that if I ran it wide open for a mile or so it would dry out and run smoothly -- nope.

Found the problem -- E3.32 plug is slightly too long and the piston struck it. I put the China plug in and it runs great now.

Some of the kit supplied plugs have threads that are too short, the best plug I've found are ngk-B6HS and B7HS. The 6 is a higher heat range than the 7. I have run the B5HS in winter.

You can run the BP type ngk if the plug indexes to clear the piston, I've replaced a bp5hs with the same plug and the replacement hit the piston. You can mark the curve of the electrode with a sharpie on the plug body to see where the electrode is when the plug is tight.
