SpookyTooth Death Race 2009

The Pima County Fair is ALWAYS during the windy days of spring. The blowing dust, exacerbated by the crowds of fair goers will provide a "gritty" experience.
Pray for calm breezes for the day. :D
 
I think it is gonna be very cool to meet people face-to-face
me n vinnie have met spunout (deathrace), lenny n datz(new higway opening)...
I consider all to be friends now (how cool is that?)

I enjoy being around like-minded crazies (I get to blend in, finally rotfl)

me n my EZM powered Jaguar will be there representing :):):)

Has Spooky Tooth decide on what style of race it will be?
We have two choices: Lap race or Endurance race. I'm fine with either one.

Also, Talk to the Guys at Spookytooth and ask them to bring a bunch of # plates and numbers. That would be another way to make some extra money. At some races I've been to, the promoter would bring white paper plates and a big sparpie for the # plates. Looks a little hookie but it works.

Even though I live here I have never been to this track. I checked mapquest and it doesn't show up on the street map but in the aerial views it is to the west of the "Southeast Regional Park". The entrance looks like it is directly opposite the entrance for the oval track (S. I. R. ?). Am I getting this right FR31? I never followed the racing scene so I've never been there.

What!! No buddy thats Tucson Raceway Park, The fastest 3/8 oval in the West!

Which was closed down to the economy, but a very nice man said that no racing in Tucson just is not right. And decided to take it over and we are all grateful, unfortunately there is no UMP Modified racing this year.
 
The easiest way to get to the track...well the way I go...

East on I-10

Exit 273 Rita Rd.

Turn Right (South) on Rita Rd.

Rita Rd. turns into a dead end,before the dead end you will see a big sign that says TUCSON RACEWAY PARK

That's Rocket Straw or Harrison Rd. Turn Left (East) on Rocket Stra (Harrison)

And then just go straight, it will take you right to P1

P1 Is on the West side of Harrison right before Dawn Rd.... You can't miss it

You should see a sign that says "MusselMan Honda Circuit"

Sorry FR! :o I know this is blasphemy to a lot of you but I have never had the slightest interest in racing. I really can't get into watching cars make left turns no matter how fast they're going.
