SpookyTooth Death Race 2009

Hey Spunout, Do you plan on using the whole track? After looking at the map, it said the longest straight is only 680 ft? Would it be possible to draw which direction and pattern we'll be using. I want to work on the gearing before race day. I have a 13 hour road trip and the last thing I want to do is wrench on the bike at the track. Thanks.

my e-mail from spooky said to bring elbow and knee pads along with your helmet

I'm not racing, just gonna do laps and check out the other rides :)

I'm bringing my full gear plus my kart suit...just in case I decide to slide across the pavement.
I can't imagine driving for 13 hours all road rashed up.

P1 info:

11800 S Harrison Road Tucson,AZ 85747

We can run in either directions

BTW The blurb says Saturday April 19th however the 19th is a Sunday. Is the event on Saturday the 18th or Sunday the 19th?

It's Saturday the 18th according to Spunout.

Death Race 2009 will be held at P1 Circuit Race Track at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tucson, AZ on Saturday April 18th, 2009. The entry fee, which covers insurance and track rental, is $10. Riders can begin to register at 12 pm and spend the afternoon running the course at their leisure. Death Race will begin promptly at 5pm

I just checked out the Spooky Tooth site and it does say April 18th Saturday. We plan on bringing some goodies to sell like manifolds, pipes and reed cages.

I may be able to host an out-of-towner for the weekend of the death race. I have to clear the spare room, (has a very soft twin bed) and another room also currently full of junk.
First day, last day, deposit and background check required... kiddink. :D

A little over 100miles for both like, 107 from Phoenix and 110 from Chandler.

The Fair grounds are just on the outskirts of Tucson so from downtown Tucson it's about another 20 miles.

yeah, it's a coupla hour drive
'bout the same to FH
always seems faster getting there than coming back tho

Thanks FR31, Looks like Dean and I will be staying at the Super 8!

Cool, look for 22nd street...it turns into star pass right passed super 8. It's on the West side of I-10 and super 8 is on the South side of 22nd about half a block West of I-10.

You will have a excellent view of A mountain which I have gone up and down a million times.

Oh, and I-10 right through Tucson is under construction so it's kinda of a mess, all I can say is good luck lol.

I just found out I am having family from Mexico that weekend, oh well, they will just have to visit without me here lol.
