Hey I have a 49cc 2 stoke chiniese motor. If I buy a new cdi cable like a better one will it make a difference? And Is it hard to take off the cdi? And Are the wires all the same like if I go to O riellys auto parts could i find one there or should I tke the cdi cable with me.

The actual spark plug cable is just cork screwed into the CDI. Simply unscrew it and get a new wire. It would be a good Idea to use some dielectric grease on the connection when you put a new wire on. I recommend getting a 7mm solid wire core cable like the old Volks Wagon cars use. Those are my favorite.

These are good upgrade plugs and are among my favorites.

Not really. A lot of the stock spark plug wires fall apart tho. The over all improvement is not really that dramatic. You may find the motor easier to start or even the motor runs a little steadier under load. Really depends on how well the one ya got is working to begin with.

Your stock plug has a threaded stud on the end the new cable you cut one end off use the style plug I suggested. It will simply snap right on. or find a threaded tip to attach to your old plug.

Some plugs that end unscrews others they don't.

There is a lot to be said about fixing things that are not broke. I kinda recommend that you just get it running before doing anything, any porting. There is such a thing as overkill for somebody that don't know what there doing. This being your first motor. I hate to stir you into something that you will mess up and later regret.

Here is a link to read about tho I am all about learning. Check this......
