GREAT!!! Good to know who won the 4T shifter kit! We will fully support the install and warranty as purchased.

Next year I just may fly down.
Hi Pablo
As you probably know by now the next SoCal Motorized Bicycle race
is this year on Saturday Oct 22nd.

Are you planning on bringing a bike to ride?

Thanks again for yours and Jim's support and it would be fantastic to
have you there in person.

liveforphysic's eMotorcycle burned up in Tucson and he repeated
the act at Willow Springs along with a big shower of sparks when he
forgot to remove the battery charger leads before moving his bike so
I too want to see if liveforphysic can bring a bike that can finish a race.

The 2 slowest ebikes were the only ones to finish out of 9 electric entries.

I sold that bike two days before the race!! I only had one bike left in my shop to bring on race day.
I still thought I did well... I finished 6th in both of the qualifiers.

I kinda question the accuracy of the scoring of the races; all they had was a girl who volunteered quickly yelling out the racers #s as as they raced by her, & another volunteer doing everything he could to keep track of them on a note pad.

Anyways... we had a lot of fun & learned a lot to be better prepared for the next race! ;)
That "girl" was scoring all day and did a great job and there were a few other
people scoring that race. She did more scoring than just about anyone else
and she was mainly there to have fun.

I assure you that the 2 stroke 12 lap final results were accurate up to the
first 14 places and that you did not finish in any of them.

I was working flagging the infield on that race and you were slow, way back
in the pack and definitely not in the first 14 places. In fact I remember that
your bike made a strange sound and that you weren't dicing it up with any
other riders.

Yes, it was a lot of fun but your questioning of the results is just bad
sportsmanship especially considering that you and your girlfriend did not
volunteer to do anything.

WOW... Now THAT was just some plain old bitter trash talking & bad sportsmanship coming from someone who didn't even bring a bike to his own race!!

*edit* I talked to a lot of riders at the race who had serious concerns that a guy like you might snub any racers that speak negatively about your BF Jim!
Not quite sure what your point is about me not bringing a bike to my race?

I was way too busy organizing and working at the race to be riding
in any of the classes.
Also with only 60 days from the announcement I did not have time to
finish 2 bikes that I was working on.

Dave31 has always said that it is very difficult to be in the races and
host them too.

"Do not criticize other track volunteers"

BF Jim? LOL

I hope nobody missed this announcement that
Serious racers will be required to help out with the scoring, corner working and flagging, etc when they are not racing.

It is going to be the same deal for the next Oct 22nd race.
Thanks a lot to magrider for coming forward to lay out the races, heats,
track time and schedule for the Sat June 18th Willow Springs race.

I appreciate magrider's experience with starting grid options.
magrider and I have decided to do a Supercross style line up.

I have tried to talk to as many of you that would respond to get
a general feeling for what everyone wanted to do.

Going to keep it fun and only have simple rules for the first event.

Serious racers will be required to help out with the scoring, corner working and flagging, etc when they are not racing.
Riders who just want to cruise the track can help out but are not
required to.

There is limited track time and the event is not only about the
hard core racers. For motorized bicycle racing to be successful
All of the motor bike community needs to be included and
catered to.
I have another great announcement here soon. Stay Tuned!

There are many viewpoints and riders that want their particular
interests served so I will be the final decision maker on these matters.

All input is welcomed and this statement will probably be revised.
Thanks
I feel that is way too early to start making too many rules or classes.

Entry fees are $25 if prepaid.
$29 for those that pay on Friday or Saturday race day

Spectators are $10 if they are not apart of a pit crew or working.

Free car or tent camping on Fri and Sat included with your entry!

1st Heats & Race. Electric
2nd Heats & Race. 4 stroke
3rd Heats & Race. China 2 stroke [ broken into 2 groups due to number of riders. ]
4th Heats & Race. Unlimited gas which will include electric if less than 10 ebikes show.

The fastest 8 or 9 from the 4 classes will advance to be a field
of 32 to 36 riders in the 'Ultimate Race', 'Trophy Dash'

I wasn't aware that that included my GF on crutches!?!? Jerk!

Jen says your a d-bag for even bringing her into this!!
Your gf could have sat on a chair by the start/ finish line and
helped with the scoring instead of sitting in a chair in your pit
area.
Scoring just involved writing down numbers as they were
called out. Being on crutches does not seem to preclude that?
Was her wrist injured too?

What is your excuse for not helping?
You gotta remember that you were the only one to criticize the
other scorers who worked really hard that day and most of them
including that "girl" did way more than their share.

I was on the PA system begging for scorers and several races were
delayed because there were not enough scorers for them.

Venice Motor Bikes said:
Also... I posted a link & promoted your race on MY web site & never even got a single word of gratitude from you for it... JERK!
I did not know that you posted a link to the race. I haven't looked at your website
for a long time. So thank you for the link.

You edited that jumbolia in yesterday on the other ''old'' thread just yesterday.

I am sure that if you would have just asked Venice he would of happily complied.;)

That is not true. I did not edit that info in yesterday and the very
same info was repeated several times throughout this thread.

The issue of it being a working race was decided between myself,
magrider, bairdco and several others.

Anyone who was there knows that before the last few races I was
on the PA system begging for anyone to step up and help score.

Scoring was the worst issue of the whole race.

Here is a blast from the past, our first race at Willow Springs on June 18th 2011.

I have always planned to go back because we had a great time and the Huth family
was very friendly and accommodating.

I went out to Willow on June 9th for a few reasons. The main one was to talk to them
about another event there on a new track.

Please let me know if you would come to a race on July 27th 2013.
Of course the Arrow Motorized Cycles crew and Jake Busey are committed to an
experience on a paved asphalt oval.

Where do I sign up? Looks a little boring but fun...
The Arrow crew are rearing to go,
Dave
Jimmy
Ryan
Jeff
Matt
and Jake Busey of The Jake Bike too.

Who knows Willow may let us take a spin around that roller coaster of a
track the Horse Thief Mile.

Your Preddie would be a blast on the 1 mile 11 turn track featuring major
elevation changes, tight turns and canyon-like surroundings.

I drove it clockwise and counter clockwise just for the **** of it! :D
