SoCal Race Event Sat June 18th at Willow Springs Raceway-2011

Grandson Cole#713;

Ain't he a young one?!

Eh Sherlock, looks as we've a mistaken idenity, what shall we do?

Right Watson. Looks though instead of Grandad having a photo T-s of Grandson, the young man will have a T-s of Grandad.

I know ill be coasting around 20mph, the aggressive rake on my forks is probably not going to allow me to whip around that course with ease so ill try my best. i just hope the faster guys dont come up behind me and end up doing this

and can we ride on the 2.5 track with our MB's???

I will be giving away as a prize to the 50cc Honda GXH and
Huasheng clone racers in the 4 stroke class.
Prototype of a billet valve cover to replace the cheap stamped
sheet metal valve cover.

Thanks to Manic Mechanic for turning these out on short notice
and for all the rest of the cool goodies Jim sent me for race prizes.

Nah, I got to take care of pops.
You are doing the good work here and I will help. No way I am ever going to race, but it will be a good social gathering I am sure.

PM me your info and I will send you a check.
Hello Mike
Sorry I missed seeing your generous offer to help out until
now.
Too bad you can't make it and yes it isn't all about the racing.

I will emphasize again that there is a lot of time for those
who want to cruise around the Go Kart track and ride for
4 to 5 laps around the famous Big Willow race track
Hope to have 100 motorized bikes do at least 10 miles on
"The Fastest Road in The West" LOL

It is an historic track and this will be an historic event!

Just being there and seeing all the bikes will be a blast as
well as putting faces together with the names from the forum.

It's just like Xmas! I just got a box of all kind of goodies to give
out as prizes from SickBikeParts.com

Big thanks to Paul and Jim for their support of Motorized Bicycle
racing.
First time that I have my hands on a SBP expansion chamber which
is one of the first place prizes for the 2 stroke class. I had to open up the
parts bag to check the aluminum exhaust gasket out, very nice!

Those Iridium plugs are pretty slick too. Been looking at the tip with
a magnifying glass. LOL

All kinds of air filters and plug wires, too cool!

View of the Big Willow track behind the tall bleachers by the metal canopy on turn 3.

You can sit on the bleachers, look down the finish straight, see all of the go kart
track as well as the real motorcycles right behind you and see the track going up
the hill to the balcony.......

Pic of my new Jaguar before I started building it
into a 4 stroke 49.4 cc GXH Honda shifter bike.

It is not even close to being finished so I am not
bringing a bike to the race.

The Honda motor has a billet valve cover lol

Hey guys, I'm excited to meet everybody and cruise around the track. I was at the DR and had a blast even if I thru the rear derailuer into my wheel and took out 3 spokes (electric motor to cassette drive). It was a blast watching the Main event, everybody had somebody to race. I was thinking it would be cool to have everybody out there after the Main for some hooligan laps, what do you guys think? I'll probably only have enough battery left (if I make the Main event)for 5 laps but should be fun like the DR was.

Hey Neil,
Did you ever find out about fires at the campsite? I have an enclosed firepit that I could throw an arrestor on it if that's the problem. I'm off to search the willow springs site, see if I can find any info on this...

OK, it didn't say anything about camping on the website, so I am assuming a fire reasonably maintained will be OK, and more good news, I can ride my quad around the grounds, awesome! Ironic when you see my bike, LOL...

Barbecues and enclosed fires are ok.
No open fires or fires on the ground allowed.
No loud noise after 10 pm
Common sense stuff.
