Ditto what Evoforce wrote!
Thanks Strotter for the offer of kicking in some more cash.

Words are cheap and don't pay for events. I like what Evoforce wrote too,
but he hasn't registered or paid. Maybe I am wrong but I don't have an
Evoforce on the list, just see him asking for a ride to an event that he
hasn't even registered for let alone paid.

Yep, these events always take more time, effort and money. I haven't be able to donate any time or effort so I'll be more than happy to kick in some more money. Hope some of you will be willing to do the same.

I feel for Bimoped, I mean, its super costly to rent out a track for a day, im sure the time and effort he has put into the event will pay off in the end with simply doing what he loves to do and thats to ride motorized bicycles yet alone, with a big group of cool people. but who knows, I might be mistaken, he seems to be pretty frustrated and I dont blame him. It is a difficult time for most people out there including my self. But for the most part, we gotta keep in mind that people out here in socal that do ride motorized bikes simply see it as another form of transportation to ditch away with filling up our cars gastank with insane gas prices therefore, most wouldnt have that much to spare to begin with otherwise, if it was just for a the hobby/sport, im sure you would see more support and with all the work you have done at this point, im pretty sure this going to be one **** of an event!

iv hosted an event at k1 for a huge group, put my money down and signed my life away was thinking I'll have the support to get it all back but most people bailed out so it dug into my pockets real well but still it all turned out to be awesome none the less. I knew that I cant expect all numbers to be filled up as well, I knew that before I even decided to host the darn thing but it was ok, it was still worth it. Even if this will be the only race for motorbikes in cali, it will be one for the books and for those that will be there, at least we can say we got to experience it as well as be apart of it thanks to you Bimoped! So lets make it happen and make it one event to remember! dance1

I can throw a few bucks more to help out and have no problem paying at the gate ;) Got caught up with some stuff with work so I havent been able to get back at you so I do appologize

also, iv read about there not being any real power source??? just one outlet by the finish line for the pa system?? but are you going to have any music??? if their isnt, I might be able to pull out some of my dj equipment if someone has not already taken care of that, just throwing it out there. anyone that has an ipod or mp3 player is free to plug and play off of it so if anyone prefers to hear something else rather that is playing, they can switch it up dance1

Very limited running water & electric. There's a sink w/ water 50 yds. over at the restroom. Limited 20amp 4 plug receptacle, 1st come, 1st one there gets it, closer, I'd say in the pits.

Flags are in my hot little plams! Thank you summer Santa (UPS).

The bikes are so easy on my eyes. I love those 4 stroke builds, classieee..

Anyone not too proud to work a shift behind a broom sweeping rubber off the track Friday eve?
I have 1 big broom to bring Dave31, but a blower might be oh so MB club cool . . . Can't imagine a dozen gear heads hanging out, not being allowed to ride on track after 5pm, and not having a truly clean track for Saturadays' brew ha ha.

I'll have a very limited few T-shirts featuring 'Cole#713' on hand for $15 reimbursement, pretty much Lg & X-Lg sizes. Geez, I hope he doesn't mind my featuing him on T-shirt. It was the only good photo of Tucson MB racing I could get my hands on. Expect to unload these handsome shirts Fri and focus on my ToyRacer & track Sat.

Weather guy says we'll get a respite from heat on Friday/Saturaday; 80's anyway, wind is bad when hot, not so hot, maybe light wind. It'in that nice.

3 days or sumpin' dance1

CaliPhotography is going to be taking photos of the races and
riding around the 2.5 mile Big Willow track at the end of the day.

They are located in the gift shop next to the diner.

Brian said that single digital full res pics are $10 each and
$45 for the full package of all of each riders photos. I think
I got that right?

I have given up on finding an EMT and will be going with the
service at the track.

The areas where tents will be pitched and vehicles to camp in
is 3 rocky rectangles between the pit roads. You can stake your
tents and shelters there.
You can see them on the photo on page one.
10' wide EZ ups for your bikes will be on the asphalt along the pit
roads and the back legs can probably be staked in the rocky area
but the front legs will need weights in case of wind.
5 gal buckets of water or rocks? 5 gal water bottles with the leg in the bottle?
The go kart guys use kart tires filled with concrete.

First I would like to thank BiMoPed for all the hard work that he has done and I'm sure it can be stressful to put on an event by himself. There are alot of great sponsors that have donated awesome products to make this a memorable event.

If nobody has done so yet, I'll print up the paper numbers on regular white paper for those who dont have a number plate with the numbers on it.

See everybody in 4 days!!

Had plans to do some promotion on radio and TV but I have run out of
time and gas. LOL Maybe next time?

As stated in the previous post the plan is to make the Willow Springs

The weather looks good with 2 of the cooler days of this week
and next week on Friday 17th and Saturday race day June 18th
Looks like light wind too.

Full moon on Thursday too for the campers.

Only 3 days to go with 2 days to pre register.

Thanks to dand for the ride so I will be leaving at about noon on Friday.
My cell phone does not work at the track, but I will be taking a laptop
that hopefully works on their WiFi from the go kart track PA booth.
I want to post some reports from the track and check my email.

BiMoPed, you may have run out of
time and gas, but you have not run out of wind yet laff Or drive ,ambition and determination.....a great effort, remember what I said...

And I count 50 pre-paid entries so it looks like we're going to the races....aren't we? Pat is not sure he can make it now so that's why I didn't pre-register him as I was going to....he'll pay at the gate if he makes it. The tandem is ready but if Pat doesn't go, I've got no way to bring it.....oh well.

Keep up the great work, I'll be bringing a fire extinguisher, a motorized bike, a helmet and gear, beer, $5 cash and a helmet cam or two. Call if needed.

Cheers,

i agree dave. even if you're not gung ho on racing like some of us other guys, once you get out there and ride around, you'll be hooked.

bring your 20mph bike to this one, and you'll be building a faster one for the next one, i almost guarantee it...:)

i think i'm coming down friday night. depends on where and when i'm working friday.

Hi Baird
Are you still raffling off your orange bike?
Anyone coming with you who is riding a bike on the track?

Due to lack of entries the separate eBike class has been combined with the
unlimited gas bikes so there will be an extra hour of time for those that aren't
serious racers to cruise around the track in the middle of the day.

Open cruise time and practice from 8am to 10 pm
there will be a racers meeting at 9.45 to 10 am but
anyone not racing in the heats and finals can keep
riding the track until the first heat starts.
Then about an hour in the middle of the day
and after the Ultimate race of all the classes in the late afternoon
the track will be open to anyone until 5pm or a little later
when we head over to the 2.5 mile Big Willow track to do 4 to 5 laps.

I am still looking for some one to contact me and confirm that they
are bringing a radar gun.
