I also have my finished Troxel saddle in hand. Came out good. I think I'll have to modify my existing seat post to accept it. I'll make a piece to fit the "other end" of the existing seat post so if I wish, I can just remove Troxel and switch back to stock; depending on my mood and A$$ prefrence of the day! :) laff

Seeing as its been about 108F in the garrage and about 78F in the house; I displaced to my living room as a temp workshop. Bit messy; but at least I can do some stuff. Tomarrow itshould be much cooler ( only bout 100 :) ) So back to the garrage. I intend to get the rear lights wired and powered. I also intend to re-test fit the motor, trans and rear wheel for fitment and belt length.

Gee's! do you plan on going deer hunting with those thing's ? (LOL!) they're bright even in the pic, park it in front of a wall in total darkness and adjust those bad boys so you don't blind anyone and besides it will also give you a focus point at night adjust it them to about 10,15,20 ft. this will give you sight for breaking and pot holes that could be avoided in advance, insted of BLAM!!! all of a sudden your pick'n your a$$( and I mean your $$$) up off the pavement.
Seat looks killer too!
Looks good Bro!
From the way you discribe the weather you must live in Cali? we got the same temps today 108f outside 78f indoors

Well.... They are pointing right into the camera lense. I'll have a better idea how bright they really are once I test em in total darkness. CHESTY! LOOK AT THE PRETTY LIGHTS! ( Nope: Still unimpressed )

I have a son in Surprise Az, I actually got them from a local bike shop around here and then used an arrogation tube for the electrical kill line you can get the brown cable housing from 2 different source's that I know of 1st is www.porkchopbmx.com and the 2nd is www.junkyrustybikes.com then there is E Bay under vintage bicycle some body is selling about 30' of the brown cable housing.
I figured if I was going to have all those cables I might as well show case them, do you like the seat? that is a real leather pringed seat with kevlar under coating about $82.00
tax & shipping very comfortable!! if you want to check them out PM me and I'll give you a couple of hook ups

Killer seat, Dan. I especially like that you posed it on a pillow. :) That shows you're proud of your work. As well you should be.
Thanks for keeping us updated on this beautiful build.

Cant take credit. Well... I did pick out the leather; does that count? Did you find the info on the chain tensioneres helpfull?

!! YAWN !! Man am I beat. FOUGHT with the motor mount all day. I had taken the thing to a machienest to move the motor to the left but not nearly enough material was removed; and today being the 4th I decided to just attempt it myself... Bad Idea. 200 billion slivers of aluminum later, using various techniques and tools I managed to do it; but its not pretty. I'll have to have the thing blasted and powdercoated. Good news is the secondary belt clears them big old tires! My Bike workstand is not built to hold both bike and motor; So some custom engineering was called for...

I will need to get a longer belt. I thought I might get away with it, but no. I have a "Drainzit" installed and it was hitthing the rear step of the motor mount. I thought removing a bunch of metal there would get me the room I needed but no way.. Another 2 hours of grinding and cursing wasted.

So. The belt will clear the tire but NOT the fender. And I'm keeping the fender... SO! Off to surgery. I did a radical fenderotomy with plastic trim closure. The patient was preped and draped in the usual fashon. Once adiquate general anesthesia was acheved, the fender was opened ~ 11 inches above the lower fender terminus with a 1" hole saw. The desired portion of fender to be exised was marked and verified. The offending portion of non viable fender was isolated with a single continuous cut using a circular hand cutoff wheel. This specmen was sent for pathology. Closure was acheved with automotive thin plastic trim with integral glue. The plastic was heated with flame to soften the glue and the trim was pushed into position. Satisfactory closure was not acheved and binding tape was used to hold the trim in position while the glue cooled and set. The re-approximation was observed constantly for 15 min with no seperation of the closure line. Patient tolerated the procedure well. The patient will be kept in the garrage overnight for observation. Estimated blood loss: Neglegable.

I have often thought about using auto door trim on the fender cut outs, now I know what it looks like I'l have to try it out next time, very innovative
