This is the big event in our little town over the Summer. I didn't go down to the township to watch this year because I'm hobbling about with a lot of joint and muscle pain today, but the sound of the bikes racing can be heard quite clearly here at home.
Yesterday evening I did get a big surprise though, I saw my first motorised bicycle on the streets of our little town. It was a mountain bike fitted with a China Girl and it seemed to be running very nicely. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to talk to the bike's owner as I didn't fancy my chances with chasing after him on my venerable English Hercules bicycle.
