I decided today that I will def. keep the bike. Its just too much of fun to drive around with it. I had the option to sell it for a good price and I was looking at Off Road and Cruiser Motorcycles which could give me the option of a surf rack, but even though I cant use the highway, I am just a couple pieces away from having it as reliable as a motorcycle. Probably 300-400 Dollars more and its complete. Next thing I will get is this wheel:
and I am planning to buy a fixie bike hub with good sealed bearings and use the fixed sprocket as mount for the engine sprocket since that one is right on the hub so I dont need to drill through the hub, even though I am still looking at some hubs with higher walls but for 36 spokes. 11g spokes should be enough for the stress of the engine.
The other thing I will get is a seat post with suspension take out additional hits to the rear wheel and frame and my beautiful ass and the Suzuki K10 fork:
The other things I want to do is to change the engine mount with rubbers to reduce vibration, the wide cranks, a center kickstand and other stuff I will do step by step.
If anybody is interested in my 68 spoke wheels (already prepared for mounting a sprocket on the hub), shot my a message. I probably will have to switch to 26" because it will be hard to get what I need in 24".
The ones I have now. 185mm disc and dual hydraulic for smaller motorcycles from AGK. Best brakes I ever had. They make your brain smash against the front wall
if was going to do custom work i would just get the front fork assembly off a yamaha r6 with dual disk brakes and Brembo calipers. then i would mill the center tube down to 1 1/8 inch to fit my bike. i would even keep the front rim and tire, handle bars and all levers. that would be cool.
because it was the only one I could find with sealed bearings 36h and high walls to drill the mount again for the sprocket directly in the hub. I heard its a good quality brand too.
Today I decided not to work sh*t, so I went surfing big waves in the morning and when I got home I changed clothes and took the bike for a couple hours along the coast and to Old San Juan.
In this pic is one of my fav surfing spots in the background, earier today I surfed here 10ft+ waves. Hopefully by next week I have the surf rack and can take my board with me on the bike
That one was later at El Morro in Old San Juan where I met a gang of Classic Bikes and got a great new contact to weld and work on the frame.
