Motorized Recumbent 100 screaming Chickens

Hi this is what I built last winter from scratch. I had an old Ryan recumbent seat, but the rest is home made.

1 HP friction drive. Power assist. I ride well on the level ground, the motor assists me up the hills at about 15mph if I pedal also.

Welcome to the forum. There was an American made front wheel friction motor that was friction drive and I think was made in Wisconsin. It was similar to the Bikebug made by Tanaka of Japan, although the "Chicken Power" was wimpier yet. It seems to me the Chicken Power was 18CC while the Bikebug was a whopping 26 CC. So yours is not the first "chicken power" bike! The one I had came with a gas tank the size of a soup can, which in fact was a tin can with the picture of a pecking chicken on it. Maybe it was the forerunner of the juice can gas tank.
Nice bike you've got there.
