So Cal
Made window trim and trim for the porch to get pre painted... May rain tomorrow but sunny for the next 7-10... Hi Temp in the low 80's so basically perfect for painting... As long as every day I do something I'm happy with that plus labor day was about 2 week holiday... The sooner the painting is done the better because I've got to do the baseboards inside where the lumber is and like to air the place out as long as I can before it's cold or it rains... Once the inside of the porch is dry or dry enough I can move the hardware store out of my living room then build shelving and whatever else... I have no waste and a pile of demo hidden in the lilac I have hauled off when it's to obvious...
Your really building a Green House to grow Pakalolo aren't you LOL

I'm so glad I got all the corners and tight spots done... Then it just sprinkles a little but hasn't rained me out yet... Terracotta pot color ;) went back and finished the inside...

First coat is done... Ran out for the bottom... The plywood sucked up way more than I expected... All the important part is done so I can put it together... Next week I can get another 5 gal. And finish it whenever... For now it's 10x better than it was falling apart...

I was just gonna say to primer that Ply or else it's gonna suck up all your paint LOL
Its paint and primer in one... One coat came out really good for 30 year old ply that's been flooring... The next one won't take as much... I've got shelves to make so I know how much it's going to take... I really like the Behr paint mabe green or black for the shelves??

A facia board and 1/2 a gallon of white exterior I use for interior.... I'm going to let it weather a couple of years and put another 5 gal. I don't want to shock it too much with any sudden change... Other than a few close neighbors it looks like the same old trailer trap just a coat of paint to let them know it's under different management ;)

Finally got around to a water leak in a very tight spot under the tub... And window trim. So I can paint the outside... Over the last week... after a few days of letting everything dry out... And an electric mess that's getting a junction box... Some heat tape... And October another under trailer wiring job to get 110 / 20amp x2 banks of power out in the shop and one outside for a welder... And only the pergo is left in the living room... The shop is already working out great 18 months from condemned trailer can to better than a new one for 20k everything works for the first time since the mid 90's...
Then it starts raining with the sun out just as I get done and post my progress...

Ahhh ... I finished the remodeling... At least all the necessary things... And a balloon crashed across the street yesterday... Building bikes is still a little ways out but it got a lot closer today... The paint on the shop is cured and barely smells and it will get power tomorrow then I'm done under the trailer can... I wanted to go to Cancun... Instead I'm basking in cocoons scratg

I got 10ga 20amp 110v child safety so you got to try really hard to get electrocuted to $hit your pants power... Still have to build out everything and figure out how I want it set up but the bones are done and meets or exceed the code... Along with the rest of the place...

I can't put power in the porch or it's considered living space so the weather head outlets on the trailer I can plug in and out of meet that requirement I don't have to unplug just be able to... When I build a shed in the spring it's got a GFI off the meter to plug into if it was hard wired it would be concidered an unattached garage... Build whatever you want but nobody can find fault with it your ahead of the game... I restored an out house because it was grandfathered on another property and a septic system would require a pump and purchase of more land permits etc... As a contractor I've had a lot of code experience... I can think of one place where the footings for a deck had to be moved because it wasn't as approved and it was 10k per month fine until it got fixed or the new placement was approved.... The real reason is a professional setup from the beginning is going to be worth it in the long run tools won't be struggling to get power... When I plug a 110 welder into it I'm on a dedicated breaker and 10ga is more than enough to get a consistent power... The original residential trailer wiring never was designed for the duty cycle of a welder... A few things I noticed as a welder... The transformer on the pole has an effect and the gauge wire.... Sure the lighting circuit of an old hay barn can run a welder 100's of feet from the panel for 1/2 the repair then a penny in the fuse holder for the other 1/2... Seen the old 2 wire system bare wire red hot on the insulators... Seen a lot of $hit... Seen a lot of people see this and accept it as the way dad' did it who besides being a beloved dad wasn't an electrician or knew anybody that was... My hope is somebody will see this shop thread and take away the need for a sturdy floor and roof that doesn't leak out of something you already have or can salvage... a comfortable work space is going to be a theme now that functional and affordable are covered... I might actually build another bike someday ;)

It's been a month since I finished the shop... Now it's cold and I have a few little things to do this winter like turning 5 sheets of plywood into some storage shelves... Slowly get organized for when it warms up... Maybe get some stools so I know the height of the bench to be built... ??? It's been 2012 since I had a place to call home so it's just sinking in I guess... Anyways my studies are going well except for 130gig of information I need to get printed out to make a 15k page hard copy of the last year's research... $20K in parts collected this past year is just for R&D at this point... The goal is to make the most reliable as possible engines and bikes from around the world via the Internet incorporating all my upgrades and the forums have been very helpful in that goal... One thing I noticed is that people buy a motor and run it straight out of the box... Sure there's one or two that works out like that out of the millions made... And clean your case with dish soap and water dry it with compressed air instead of gasoline because one gallon of gas pollutes a million gallons of water in the ground especially the new gas with ethanol or mtbe that's water soluble... Sort of defeats the purpose of a motorized bicycle if you're footprint is more toxic to the environment than a city bus...

$20K Damn dude, maybe ya should of just bought a new 2022 Harley Road King
It will be around $50k with tools setup like I want it... It is what it is and it's just the beginning... Money is one thing 130gigabites of information is another thing my roladex is 6' of paper once I get to printing it out.... I'm done with the learning process for now and this is for a lifetime of projects not one bike... 20 motors get broken down to 5 with 15 in spares to keep them going GT5 ...PK80... And 40mm long rod... The 52-54mm stuff is the 5th exotic group of parts... Basically I went through the forums and got parts for just about every build that's on there... Still a truck load of bearings, rings, shims and misc. To complete each of the frames but the bones of it are done and so am I... Thank you Wrench for the information on whizzers the frames and forks it helped me out knowing that information... And just being a great guy to joke around with also

I'm useing a cabin air filter for a 2004 Hyundai sonata in my 8" through the wall intake with a 10" roof vent... Fits perfectly snug... just stuffed in there can't see it from the outside... The flapper is held open with screws... Would work great in a shed or small shop to bring in clean air doesn't effect the fan operation... ;) Parts is parts
